We had a holiday on a boat on the Canal du Midi some years before we bought a house in France and the trees are part of our abiding memory of that beautiful place. Jonzjob Posted December 28, 2011 Share Posted December 28, 2011 An update on the trees near us.Trebes now has 80 odd new trees and they are laa numbered and a small lable on them states that they are the canker resistant strain, so that is great stuff. Bad bit now. We had a walk along by the triple locks at ecluse de Fresquel and East from the ecluses 35 trees out of 55 have been marked for cutting and have been ring barked with chainsaws.
