I'm not really concerned with petty inter-region squabbles. :lol

I stand by my opinion that Manche has a lot more in common with Brittany than the rest of Normandy. I don't think I'm alone in that view and have seen it expressed many times both in print and in conversation.

The architecture and geology of the department springs most to mind. And the economy. Put it English terms....its very much more 'Cornwall' than 'Dorset' .

If I was to get to know the locals more...I hope it wouldn't be so I could get involved in parochial one-upmanship.:D

What exactly about the architecture makes the Manche like Brittany?  I'm intrigued!
