Help - Urgent Baileys recipe

What was it for, apart from having Baileys in it - cake?

This isn't it, is it?

If you want to try and make your own  .....1 tin of condensed milk......2tps vanilla....1 tin of evaperated milk...2tps of glycerine 1/1/2  cups whiskey ...1 tablespoon instant coffee granules disolved in water ...blend the tins of milk together then add the other stuff and  serve over crushed ice

No, it was a few posts a few days ago when substitute recipes were being passed around for Baileys, I didn't make a note as I thought Barbara had our own recipe, we have "misplaced" it ( if it was me it would have been lost!)

NB: in the recipe below, a "part" can be any size, according to how many you are making the drink for. Just keep the proportions the same[;-)] For ONE person foe example, use 10ml as one "part".

3 parts Galliano

3 parts Baileys

1.5 parts Cointreau, (I use Mandarin Napoleon or even creme de Mandarin from supermarkets).

1.5 parts Kahlua

3 parts cream

Shake in a cocktail shaker, either with crushed ice, or without, and, if no crushed ice available, pour over ice cubes.

3 eggs, ½ pint single cream, 2 wine glasses whiskey, 5 dessertspoons condensed milk, 1½ - 2 dessertspoons liquid coffee essence.

Mix all together well (withe electric mixer) and bottle and keep in the fridge.

8 oz boiling water, 8 oz whisky, 1 can condensed milk, tablespoon

coffee ( dissolved in water ) and tablespoon vanilla essence (use much

less if using extract ). blend all together bottle it stick it in

fridge.

two recipes, didnt use either, used can of condensed milk, two whole eggs, large cup of whiskey, few drops of vanilla essence, squirt of chocolate syrup and about a tablespoon of coffee essence ( four spoons of nescafe in as little water as possible), large measure of whipping cream. Blend it , taste it and adjust to suit.

tastes yummy, will make some more today.

Without Baileys the build-up of forces following the Allied D-Day invasion would have been a lot more difficult.

One of the major objectives for 6 Airborne Division was to capture intact the

bridges over the Caen Canal at Benouville (Pegasus Bridge) and the River Orne at

Ranville.

They were captured intact, with all

demolition charges being successfully removed by the Sappers. However,

their load carrying capacity was inadequate for tracked vehicles

or for heavy trucks and transporters, but they did provide access

to both banks.

In all, a total of eight major Baileys were constructed

across these two waterways.
