Well I second that,  but  in the UK   honest, innocent citizens are barely allowed to defend themselves!

Oh

for the days when OH owned a 357 Magnum, and I learned to use it.  The

theory for me was to aim for the chest, and if the recoil messes up

your accuracy then you get ( a potential rapist) in the g**lies instead.

Interesting that judges  rationalise away such nasty violent crimes (that

burglar)  since most judges live miles away from crime hotspots, and

most have very secure accomodation when working away from home.

Apparently the father has now been freed, but the son (brother?) is remaining in prison, as he had no extenuating circumstances in his favour, not having been taken prisoner. Apparently the person who perpetrated it has been caught with credit cards etc, so was equipped to conmmit fraud. I hear that his case is being looked in to again, as it's thought the brain damage he has might not be sufficient to keep him out of prison for previous crimes.

I think that I could possibly go one better. I kept a fully loaded crossbow at the side of my bed as I suffered harassment by an extremely aggressive and arogant asian neighbour.I would certainly not have hesitated in using it in his particular case.
