Thank you! It might have been amusing if it was written by someone who knew what they were writing about... and stuck to the subject instead of waffling... surely even in the uk employing illegal immigrants is unacceptable?! Still, with the expansion of Europe such things are presumably being brushed under the carpet...

Definitely a bit Guardianesque, i.e. why put something in 200 simple words when you can use 2000 long ones. But it would be worth linking to in the 'casual labour' discussion, even if only to show that officialdom does have ways of knowing if you are employing people, not necessarily on an official basis...

Well I found it amusing anyway SB, after my brush this week with EDF & Credit Agricole (to say nothing of a certain UK bank that claims to offer "another way" but would probably be better off as a trendy wine bar).

No doubt the situation described is a foretaste of what we will have coming to us once we finally make our long-desired move to the Cotentin....
