WendyG
When the foot and mouth crisis was on in UK - they asked at check-in (Brittany Ferries) whether you were carrying any dairy products - on replying - no meats but yes, milk, butter and cheese, we were told to dispose of it before arriving in France. A leaflet accompanied this advice. Now nothing is said and one can only assume that it is OK - after all you can buy English cheddar in supermarkets and if, as has been stated on the forum, we are bottling and selling French milk in the UK, and selling all sorts of French cheeses, it would seem very protectionist if we were not allowed to bring milk etc into France.Only ever brought enough milk, butter etc to enable us to have a cuppa and something for breakfast on arrival as out in the sticks with no access to 24 hour shopping as in UK!
