Not long ago, we were introduced to Le Bon Coin = marvellous!

Yesterday we travelled to Annemasse and there collected a complete under-washbasin double vanity unit, taps, shelves, cupboards, 140cm in length, still wrapped in its original packaging. Bargains to be had for all seemingly.

A bit like a cross between Ebay and the classified ads in your local paper. [:D]  The beauty is that you can search for items/property etc. in your own area and prices are often very reasonable.

Not only that, but all advertisements are free.

If you want to sell something, you avoid payment fees such as eBay.

Having said that, you have to be prepared to search through a whole

load of stuff every day, as many people [around here] use it extensively.

Last week (with the help of Russethouse) I placed an item for sale. I received four email enquiries (even though I put my phone number on) that evening as well as a couple of phone calls the next day and it was sold at the weekend.

I also took the opportunity of showing the buyer another item we had for sale and sold that to them as well.

Like anything I think you have to get the price right; think English second hand prices and not French.
