Moi non plus, I am not keen on gnocchi; too starchy.

Talk about Italian islands, who could resist Capri (especially Ana Capri) despite the tourists and prices to match.  And, I think Ischia is even better.

The island we went to quite a bit because we had access to a house belonging to the family was Sardegne.  Not the posh bit in the north east, but rather the southernmost eastern tip called Villasimus.

My abiding memories (in addition to the food [:D]) are the scents of wild flowers and herbs, myrtle, asphodel, eucalyptus and pines.  Plus the sea of course though I am more a mountain than a sea person as I am not good in the water but I can go up mountains like the proverbial goat.
