drewmo
My wife and I, with our 1-year-old, are hoping to take a week to 2 week vacation sometime in May. We're looking for someplace warm, with a beach, that's relatively easy to get to (we'd be flying out of Geneva). We'd like either an all-inclusive resort or perhaps a self-catering unit. Nothing ritzy, we just want a little peace and quiet, but with the ability to take day trips to explore if we so desire. Any recommendations? We've looked a bit into the Greek Islands, but are turned off because it appears to be time-consuming to actually get to the islands. Canary Islands? Costa del Sol? Somewhere else? I'm sure everyone here has some great recommendations for us. Thanks!
WJT
After taking a touring holiday for over two weeks over Christmas which was wonderful and one I will never forget but have to admit very tiring at times. I would recommend a cruise. There are so many choices and all different budgets nowadays including many that are family oriented. This way you have the sun and the relaxation but also get to see some wonderful places depending on your choice of destinations.Edit: Just read your post again and realised your child is only one so don't know how a one year old would fair on a cruise. I know many cruises specialise in families but I have no experience of this. Anyway, I probably suggested a cruise because I would certainly fancy one in May! drewmo
A cruise could be interesting, but would have to really look into how "family oriented" one would be with a toddler. Thanks for the idea!
cooperlola
Gozo? More peaceful than its sister island of Malta but close by and easy to transfer between the two. Plenty to see and do.
