jon griffin Posted February 27, 2007 Share Posted February 27, 2007 Hiwe have seen a house just by driving past it and offered a price.What i would like to know is have the immobiliers got any power to make me pay their commision even though i have not been in touch with them.Its just that they have sale signs with the immobilier outside the house. If there is such a mandat, something which seems to be becoming more common, the the agent is entitled to claim his commission, regardless of how the house is sold. Will Posted February 28, 2007 Share Posted February 28, 2007 Nick's right of course, but in line with the convention in most of France that the buyer pays the agent, the seller might expect this to happen. You will probably think that the price you agreed with the seller is the total price, the seller may regard it as a 'nett vendeur' price.
