We are moving to northern Dordogne in July and are keen to come back for Christmas (probably for family in UK's sake rather than our own though!!). Had a quick look on Ryan air (Limoges to Stanstead and was quite shocked at high prices - expected though I suppose at Xmas time).Which is cheapest way to travel? Laotze Posted April 26, 2004 Share Posted April 26, 2004 We travelled back last year by ferry and because of the days we chose it was really quite reasonable (I think about 130 no accommodation but dog charged for) We left on 23rd Decemmber Caen afternoon boat to Portsmouth and did a 5 day crossing.
