andyh4 Posted June 9, 2006 Share Posted June 9, 2006 There is a Decathlon in Bordeaux and other towns in the SW - usually a good range of tents at good prices with good quality compared with supermarkets.http://www.decathlon.fr/FR/index.htmlSupermarket tents are fine until you get a thunderstorm, then you find out why they are so cheap. It's no fun at 3 in the morning, listening to God emptying the dustbins in a very wet (and getting wetter) sleeping bag. Last time I was camping the family opposite ended up sleeping in the car in their by then wet sleeping bags. By comparison the Decathlon was totally dry.
