Why couldn't they wait?

Recommended Posts

A large swathe of the forest on the hill opposite our house has already been cut down and they are still cutting, the sound of chain saws all day every day, seven days a week, is bad enough but the plaintive cry of some kind of raptor (I think they are Buzzards) as they circle overhead  is even worse, they circle for a couple of days and then they disappear, four pairs so far.

Why do they have to cut all of this forest down now, why couldn't they wait a few months?

Of course the "plaintive" cry of the buzzards may not, in fact, be "plaintive" but rather a call to the others to come and join in the good hunting which has resulted from the disturbance of the environment that makes the resident little beasties easier to see and hence catch.

Allso in two years time the Gens will need it to keep warm in the winter.

If not it will be used for makeing timber finishes for homes.
