zeb
Maybe I've listened to the Archers too often but I fancy buying one of these kits (from the English version of www.sausagemaker.com) as I'm not a great lover of French sausages and I need something to do during the long winter evenings!!Has anyone used one?? Teamedup
I used to make my own sausage, I just bought a hand mincer and got my butcher to get me some skins and I was away. I bought a very simple nozzle thing to use to fill the sausages which was best used à deux, if you can stop laughing, it doesn't take too long. Don't know about any fancy machines though. I had to have the ground mace sent from England though, it was the only thing I couldn't get. Someone told me somewhere about 60kms away sold it, but it didn't seem worth the trip, especially as it is usually fairly expensive anyway.
PeternJane
Yes, we have one, and it makes great sausages. The recipe pamphlet that comes with it is limited, to say the least, but a bit of imagination works wonders. I agree about the laughing "a deux" - they looked very........well, strange....... to start with!Peter
