in Louisiana in September 2005 and charged with possession of mushrooms.

As you can see, you're right, John.

Funny you say about the mushroom police, I've spent a fair bit of time in quite deep woodland the last couple of days and twice 'came across' chaps dressed in French dpm, obviously not looking for ceps, their demeanour was that they were looking for something other than ceps, perhaps it's my suspicious nature and they were checking for folk like me who perhaps shouldn't have strictly been there? Or perhaps they were looking out for boar for the chasse?

You had a nice dirty weekend Phil?

Last week had a couple of days away with Jude to the Normandy landing sites, museums, cemetaries etc.  Stayed at a very nice place in Maisy of Grandcamp-Maisy fame.

This weekend I have been de-moussing the roof - very dirty!

You should be carefull out in the woods Chris. I've heard rumours the la chasse are using new methods to catch sangliers now

By the way have you been talking to my grandson. He was in a local park in N Devon with my daughter yesterday. They were feeding the ducks, but instead of throwing the bread he was trying to get the ducks to take it from his hand. When Mum asked him why he didn't throw the bread he said that he was trying to catch one for his dinner last night. He had duck when they were out here in August and really liked it. He is three (3) years old!!!

I can picture the scene. Little Sanuel walking out of the park, past the 'parkie', holding a duck by the neck and telling said 'parkie' that it was OK because he had had one at his Grandad's in France [:$]! Well Dad catches fish and he eats them?
