Looking for book about WWII in western France

Can you read french? If so there are sure to be books in your local newsagents written about WW2 in your area.

Or see if there's a library and try there.

I obtained books from both sources here in the Gers about the Resistance etc.

There is still research going on here by the Gers Historical and Archeological Society. Do you have an equivalent?

Just in the middle of reading this at the moment. Very interesting expecially if you live in the general area.

As an aside, we went to the Gabaudet site (one of Das Reich's visitations) a couple of weeks ago. A lonely and rather sad place.
