Thanks

Take it to a Suzuki dealer who will then give you an 'Attestation' to confirm that the work has been done. Provided the headlight and speedo have been changed he will also certify this for you at the same time.
I intend to take it to the suzuki dealer for the attestation but i want to know how to do the retriction
Why ?

Is it because you simply want to know what gets done on that particular bike or because you want to do it yourself which doesn't, in my view, really make sense given that it will have to be inspected and checked anyway before any Attestation is issued. A dealer could possibly accept the fitting of a 'throttle-stop' or suchlike, which is visible, but unlikely to accept any chip or 'brain-tune' change without testing it (rolling road etc).

Either way, surely the answer is to talk to a Suzuki dealer, as he will know exactly what has to be done. Or maybe a french TL forum may produce the answer for you.

On the basis of what the Op has posted on another forum, namely;

quote: davetiler  "Hi not interested in a dealer doing the work

I want to return it to full power afterwards"

I can only advise that that is an illegal activity on which basis, I will no longer offer advice.

Quite right Bugsy. So many people re-word the question to get an answer that they want to hear without giving the full facts.

The OP is obviously happy to ride a bike that could end up having no insurance in the event of an accident, so let him get on with it.

I think there are at least three routes the power restrction will have been acheived and comparison of the UK and French on line workshop manuals/parts lists should reveal which has been used :

1. Different chip with another part reference. - 2. Smaller throttle ( mening restriction) somewhere in the inlet manifold - 3. Restriction in the exhaust system.

My money would be on 1. but bikes are not my specialist subject. You might search the other way round and find out what part the Belgians will sell you to make your bike go faster.

Anton. I think the gentleman's true intentions have been unearthed by my learned friend Mr Bugsy hence my remark........

Mine has only one resctriction from the uk power rating and that the uk model has 32mm intake trumpets in the airbox and the French one has 28mm. Restrict the air ,Restrict the power.

Very cheap restriction but does the job it was meant to do.
