chocccie Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 I was in Ainey-le-Chateau on Saturday for the time trials and was so delighted with the town's efforts ... it was absolutly charming, almost every house had decorated their bicycles and homes with paper flowers ... really sweet. They were obviously so proud to be part of the Tour it brought a tear to my eye (but I do cry at the drop of a hat!). Here are some pics.... 5-element Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 I am always amazed at how much genuine enthusiasm the TdF generates in the local people - some do spend hours and weeks making some ornate Tour decoration that the helicopter might give 2 seconds to... it is just lovely to see what a festive event it is.And the photos are great, Choccie.
