He's fit and cycles a lot, including Mont Ventoux, but was pretty worn out when he returned; he reckoned that he should have taken the warning when he saw that their legs were shaved! I should have said that we are in our fifties and "not serious" for me and my wife would mean 40 to 70k or so, depending on the terrain, with a decent break for refreshments at lunch!More to get some exercise and enjoy the scenery with like minded people rather than training for the TDF...
