bagwash
Can anyone tell me if planning permission is needed to put up a wooden garden workshop (or large shed really). The approx size is likely to be about 20x10. If we do have to obtain planning permission anyone know where I get the forms from? thanks
Gastines
We asked at the Mairie, suggest you do the same. We had to submit cadastre plan and plan/size etc. Rules were over 5mtrs from road BUT it can be right against your boundary with your neighbour. However, we have found each question asked brings half a dozen different answers.!!Regards.By St.Malo. Graham & Brenda
We had to fill in a Declaration de Traveaux for our shed - you get it from the Mairie.
Mikew
Declaration de traveaux for sheds of 2Msq up to 20 Msq (including roof overhangs). Anything over requires full permis de construire.Dec de trav: get form from marie, fill in all required sections, add a scale plan of property (you may have this with the papers you got from the notaire if you bought), plans/sizes of proposed shed, also photos will help. Take back to marie, if you hear nothing for a month, go ahead. Later you will get a Form H1 to fill in - this will enable them to adjust your local taxes. There will also be a request for money, - another tax -seems to be for processing your paperwork!
