Nearly Retired (I am now) Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 I have the utmost sympathy for your position - a job needs doing and nobody seems to want to do it or know anybody who can. In my frustrations I have turned to doing things myself and if you're physically able to dig a shallow footing, concrete it, lift blocks and lay a bit of mortar you could have a go yourself. You'll get plenty of advice on this forum once you get going.As for me, having tackled a block wall not long ago and now I'm now learning plumbing.
