sharkhunter Posted May 21, 2006 Share Posted May 21, 2006 Hi, have friends who have a blow up above ground pool that was green and is losing its colour but is now full of crap on the bottom. The question is, taking into account that it does not have a hoover function, how do they get rid of the crap/algae lying on the bottom. Please do not give me a hard time for asking this question and yes i'm sure it has been covered before but please indulge me,thanks in advance ( i hope) , Hugh. Poolguy Posted May 23, 2006 Share Posted May 23, 2006 HughMandyI presume that the pump and filter configuration with the pool has somesort of skimmer and filtration function in which case it can be adaptedto fit a vacuum to clean the bottom. If you need help with it let meknow.First thought I would suggest the your friends examine thiersanitisation regime which failed and produced the algae in the firstplace.As a general principle, just because the pool is either small or cheapdoes not mean that you can do without the same systems which bigger ormore expensive pools use.
