Gyn_Paul
As I understand it, free-standing pools are not subject to the same safety regulations as in-ground ones. But if I take a free-stander (usual sort of thing, water 4 foot deep, so liner about a foot or so taller) and put some decking round it, at what point i.e. what is the minimum remaining side height, does it fall into the regulations purview?p

andyh4
Average or minimum? I ask becasue our free standing pool is cut into the hillside - a big leap and you could jump into it from one side but frm the other it would be a 3 m ladder!! - only slight exaggeration. Théière
Minimum, as that is the point where a child may try to access, they're not silly those children.
