No  - have not heard back from CPAM with attestation for year beginning 1/10/07 (which presumably when it comes will say that the card will end on 31/3/08).  But today a form came to say that my husband has been granted 100% cover (instead of 70%) for his cancer treatment;  we applied for this at specialist's request, only about 3 weeks ago when cancer was properly diagnosed - and the form we have received is dated 2/10/07 and says the 100% cover for that particular illness will last for 5 years and can be extended beyond that if still receiving treatment!  It's hard to see that they can actually withdraw that on 31st March.  Can't understand how it could have been sent out dated 2nd Oct unless they were planning to honour it (unless it's a right hand / left hand problem again..........)

We had a letter in September asking us to submit the usual yearly documents, proof of residence, income etc and then had a bill for the next "trimester" October to December which we have paid and which has debited our bank account.  Am I correct in thinking that if we try and use our Carte Vitale it will be refused ? We will have been permanet residents for five years in January 2008. We have taken early retirement and live on my husband's private pension so are deemed "inactive"

All very confusing !!!!

[/quote]What they seem to be doing is letting the CV's run while they sort the problem.  Do start the process for getting your titre de sejour, when January comes.  It should be your passport to the CMU, from the positive news on this front which is emerging.
