ADSL oui!! ADSL non!!

Recommended Posts

Hi

we recently moved to Issoire which is a fairly large sized town in the auvergne. we were told by france telecom that we would definitely have ADSL at the house so we applied for it only to find out 11 days later that we couldn't despite our neighbour, who's house is about 50 feet away having 2.4 meg ADSL. they told us that the area was saturated.

i did this test on line and was wondering if anyone could explain what it means:

Not bizarre, just the way the system works. And it is not just broadband, we have been told that we may not be able to upgrade our electricity from 6 Kw to 9 Kw - reason, the lines are old and may not be able to carry any more.

I gather that in the UK even when BT say 100% Broadband cover they do not mean 100% as some will simply not get it.

Hope you get it sorted.
