Best mobile contract?

Recommended Posts

Having dropped our pay as you go into some coffee, we have decided that the time has come to get a new mobile (probably Nokia or Sagem)on a contract as we've been finding that we lose credits 'cos the old phone just wasn't used enough.

Any ideas as to the cheapest/best contract (the phone is only used for local calls around 5 times a week, if that}? Could we also keep the same number as it's printed on our business logo?

You could also look at SFR Accès: same monthly price as Orange, all calls at 0.50€ per mn, with 10mn of free calls per month, ideal for emergency use only.

see my previous post:

More details about it here:

I cannot give you an answer re keeping your number, it probably depends on your existing (coffee-flavoured) contract & phone... but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be online soon!

If you send many texts to the UK (or other "zone 1" EU countries) then it is worth noting that Orange only charge 15cents per text which is half what SFR charge.

(With our daughter over from the UK at the moment this is saving me a fortune - well not really, it's still costing me a fortune but only half the fortune it might have cost !)
