Channel 4 HD Freesat-Distortion

Since yesterday,only on C4 HD the picture seems almost in freeze frame. Watchable but a little annoying. All other channels including HD fine. Anyone else with a similar problem?

I, too, find C4 HD a bit temperamental.

Pixels breaking down the image, screen frozen for 1-2 seconds... so I don't watch it much...

ch 4 HD - for a variety of reasons - is broadcast from Eurobird rather than from Astra 2.   Eurobird is near - but not co-located with - the rest of the Astra 2 fleet.    So if your dish is set up primarily on Astra 2 it may not be favourably positioned for Eurobird.    Classic FM is another casualty in this context.   Mostly dishes cope,  but the further south you are the greater the risk of problems,   as like for Astra 2D the signal drops off for Eurobird as you go south.

I'd see whether things improve again,   it depends how important ch 4 HD is to you as to whether it's worth tweaking the dish slightly (and risking as a result a slight degradation on reception of BBC/ITV etc)

Thanks for that - I think I will leave for the moment. The quality of the picture is excellent, no break up, just that the movements are a little deliberate.
