Lester, the Collie, ADOPTED!!!

This is Lester, an elderly collie, found abandoned and now in the Refuge in Cahors. Poor Lester arrived in a bad state, exhausted and upset. This beautiful dog is about 10 years old, he has a bit of rheumatism, but already with treatment, he is much improved. Hard to believe isn’t it that someone has abandoned poor Lester??! Otherwise the vet says he is in good health with a good heart. All he needs now URGENTLY is a calm home where he can potter around and enjoy life quietly. He is sociable and not at all aggressive. Very soft with people - he deserves a happy retirement!! Life in a Refuge is not for Lester!!

If you could offer Lester a happy home with you - please get in touch.  Lester will be micro chipped and vaccinated. We can organise transport if need be.

Great news - Lester went off earlier today to his new home - where he will have 2 other Rough Collies for company.  Good luck to Lester and many, many thanks to all those who helped Lester, especially his new family.  Here are some photos of his departure....

What precious photos.  Being a collie owner, I am so pleased Lester has found a home.  Collies are such wonderful companions.
