So - thank goodness Brian was there for your partner's daughter!  It is amazing how animals can provide wonderful comfort in these situations!  He is a special cat and lucky to have found you!

 

(By the way - my young stray male cat is also becoming more accepted by "Mrs Grump" - she still hisses a bit at him, but not as much now.)
