Ce timbre doit indiquer notamment la date limite de validité du visa, c'est-à-dire la date au-delà de laquelle le véhicule ne peut être maintenu en circulation sans avoir été soumis à une nouvelle visite, ainsi que la lettre A, S, ou R, selon, respectivement, que les défectuosités constatées, s'il y en a, ne justifient pas une contre-visite, justifient une contre-visite, ou que le véhicule est non roulant.

Dans le cas dérogatoire visé ci-dessus, la carte grise doit être présentée dès que possible au contrôleur pour y porter les informations définies ci-dessus."

Are we reading this the same ?

I have shown it to our CT man and over a coffee, he said that he is obliged by law to put the stamp on ALL cars Carte grise that have passed through his station and any cars that have had no carte grise, he is obliged to hold the stamp for the person to return to have it affixed on the carte grise. Now I am going by that and what I have read in your post.

By the way, you are miles off course, yep, I have had a few rows but with very few persons and in all but one case, private emails have sorted it all out. Exchanges of opinions, sometimes vociferous is surely what any forum can expect to view on occasion. I notice you have been involved yourself and by the number of posts we each have, your percentage of such, is much higher than mine but hey ho, c'est la vie eh ! Oh and don't worry about my French, since many moons ago, I have had to be able to comprehend and speako the Frencho to make a living, so as you say, I get by !
