Not sure if this is a stupid question or not but someone has told me that you don't need to have heat resistant glass in our 7kw woodburner, as it is 634 euros per sq metre at our local Bricomarche I thought it was worth asking. Can anyone help with this question or know of anywhere else to get this glass cheaper ?

As Anton has said, far better to go to the manufacturer of your stove and order these as spare parts.

We carry spare parts for all the Charnwood stoves that we sell - as an

example two replacement door glasses, each 18 x 27 cm for a Country 12

are 42 Euros complete with new seals and metal fixing clips.

Bob Clarke

Where are you gunner, my wife smashed ours a few weeks ago whilst I was at work in the UK and she got a new pice of glass cut while she waited somewhere in Limoges. I can ask where it was if it is close enough to you. It was expensive I thought at 130 euros but not as expensive as you were quoted. From what she mantioned of the place it was just a large glazing company.

Cheers

Craig
