1.
hi the british press used to rubbish the euro.
Yes so true,              Has it changed a lot then?
 2.
Trichet's response: http://www.forbes.com/markets/feeds/afx/2008/04/15/afx4893817.html
Very good well worth the read.                                              Long live the E.U.
 3.
So how is it pronounced? Listening to the news about his visit to the UK it seems we have several variations. This morning it was Sarcosy, then I heard Sarcossie, then we had Sarcozee, and finally...and this was in Radio Four of all places, I caught Sarcosky! French friends of ours by the way seem to split the name in three and pronounce it Zar co zee. Am I bothered? not really, just thought it might be interesting :-)   The French press use   SARCO sometimes
4.
Well we are very rural here and our post woman is super helpful. We donot have an official road to our property according to the previous 2 Conseils Municipals, but we found an ancient road on our property with fantastic old walls etc, and as we have a digger, we reinstated this road, it is on the plan cadastral.  So now the postie brings our post to our house as this is deemed to be a legal and insured road..... Anyway I am getting sidetracked (sorry for the pun).  The postwoman takes letters and the money for the stamps, but I usually use the pre stamped envelopes.  She will also take messages and eggs down to my nearest neighbour (1Km) who is next on her round.  We give the postie eggs and a big tip at Christmas when she comes round with the inevitable calendar!! I do not think she gives us this help because of this it is just accepted here that you  can send post back to the post office with the postie. Previously, if I had any items on my prescription that the chemist could not supply, it was sent up in a bag and the post would deliver this to me, this however has been stopped (nationally I think) - transporting drugs etc. Sorry about large print, not shouting, just no glasses.
Sounds just like the postie we have, stops for a chat each morning post or no post, when we go away on hols says he will keepp eye on house, and contact us if problem, yes we buy his calendar it is very good.
 5.
Hi, Amazon UK deliver here as well. Paul
Yes and the price is very good most of the time.
 6.
Thank you for your reception. Have you got questions which I can answer ?
Yes i have.             Why did you move to France and when?

 9.
I'm starting to get realy confused with the replies covering such a wide area of France. We live in dept 16 (Charante)...Have 60 acres and 2 houses contained within... We pay 145 tax habitation and 1700 Tax fonciere... We are addressed as Confolens, although 1 km outside the town.... Just goes to show the large differences between communes. Regards
Very good for rent return.
 10.
With all the gloom and doom about the housing market, we have been thinking up some titles for new TV programmes. So far we have "Property Snake", "Limited Designs", "Escape from the Country" and "A Place in the Rain". Anyone got any more ideas? regards Lisa
I live in FRANCE                          Call U.K.t.v. whot you like.
 11.
Did anyone see the program about immigrants trying to get to the UK, last night ?
Why do you watch U.K. T.V.                                              The french ones are the thing to watch.
 12.
Hi there, Does anyone know if there is a safe way to send some cash back to the UK please? It would be about 100 euros so I need to know that it will get to the owner with no problems. Cheers
By transfer on the P.C.
 13.
We are thinking of buying a new computer 'on line' - but we need to get it delivered to us here in France. So far most of the major suppliers such as Currys, Comet amd PC world only seem to do UK mainland delivery.... which is fair enough.  Any ideas guys? Maybe there is a supplier of UK computers in France? The reason of ordering from the UK by the way - apart from the cost of a return trip to collect it, is to ensure that it has its software in English and that it has a qwerty keyboard.
If they say  no to sending to FRANCE. tell them sorry ,and buy somewhere different.
 14.
I've seen my neighbours leaving out letters for collection on top of their post box.  Is this common practice?  Or are they just on freindly terms?  I don't want to leave something out to be posted if it's not the done thing!  (It's a bill, and I can't really spare the time to get out to post it today).
No it is a service they carry out.
 15.
Must be a very good pension Something like £1250 per month . Would that still register as a "very good pension" these days?
I would say so.
 16. I think you will find it is set on the following,                                                             The price you can get from renting, that is if you rented it.
 17. 250 eur.less than last summer.                                        Must be a very good pension, some would love to have that amount.
