  1. Yes, you clever thing.  I bet you cheated and did a "copy and paste" ? ! Are you sure its not a French Chaise WC ?
  2. I'm sorry Jacks, we can't see the chaise, when I asked you to put a photo, it was a silly joke. Perhaps you might care to look at my post under LF Website and Forum on how to post a photo, where Mr. Russethouse has good advice and an incredible demonstration to go with it! Christine
  3. That's fantastic Mr. Russethouse!  Many thanks.  Which sausage did you choose, it looks as if it was going to be a difficult decision... I shall have to follow your advice and give it a try, it seems to be in ze Bucket! (I asked, as a joke, someone to post a photo of his poolside lounge chair he is looking for, thinking he was "au courant".  He has taken me for my word and has also just got a little cross!  Perhaps I'll put hilm on to you). Best wishes, Christine
  4. Sorry, ours are all spayed... Christine http://animalaidsaintaubin.monsite.wanadoo.fr
  5. Perhaps you could post a photo so that we know what it looks like.  It's very easy to do! Christine
  6. Yes Lori, it is, you can find out just about anything.  TU I apologise, on my photo it does look like a bush, but it fact its a thick group of the plants, which was so impressive that that is why I probably took it in the first place (last September, so the Flickr site says). Christine
  7. Bravo Ian !  An that is perhaps the best way to be accepted - be yourself ! Christine
  8. Thank you for your interest Ian. We are about 50kms south east of Niort, Deux-Sèvres. http://photos17.flickr.com/20434581_67fed1af8b.jpg (my photo) Now look what I’ve found out today! I went on to a French site where they mentioned tropical plants and sent them an email with my famous picture. They have just answered that it is « Phytolacca Americana » http://jouet.roger.free.fr/base/plantesemaine/phytolaccaamericana.htm Otherwise known as « American Pokeweed » http://2bnthewild.com/plants/H171.htm http://www.cas.vanderbilt.edu/bioimages/species/pham4.htm So now we know, and that has really made my day! Best wishes to all,  Christine
  9. Here he is again!  Does he know we got the message?  And I haven't been drinking any coffee... but perhaps too much Rosé with the heat ! I re-edit, he was above me, now he is below me ?  Too much Rosé ? Must be an Irish joke...
  10. Bonjour, There seems to be a problem in inserting photos in posts.  Apparently we can see the photos we have inserted ourselves, but others cannot see them. There are several of us having this problem (please see "Exotic Weeds" Gardening section) where we can't insert a photo, all we are getting is a little cross (in more ways than one!). Is there an explanation or a remedy for this please? Many thanks, Christine Can you see this?
  11. "Les jolies femmes ont toujours raison"  (Peanuts).
  12. I am so relieved that you can finally see them.  I was getting worried, second page and still not a weed in sight.  Sometimes you wish you had never mentioned someting and kept your weeds to yourself! Maybe they are not weeds, but were originally planted by someone, it is just that they seem to grow on their own on a wild part of the land, gives a "tropical feel".  Thanks Lori, now I shall have to look up the butterfly bush... Naps, I don't know what picture you put, but it doesn't come out either.  Why doesn't insert-a-picture work on here?  There is someone on here called Chauffour, Italian I think, with a great sense of humour who managed to post an inflatable Mars and an inflamable arm all in one go, without a link.  I have copied below, hope it comes out!  Perhaps he could tell us how he did it. or inflamable arms? Someone else posted a picture of Bob Geldorf (without a link and without oars).  How did they do it? LOL = Lots of Love, Christine A P.S. About that Flickr website.  When you put a photo on it's amazing, they tell you the date you took the photo and what sort of camera you used.  Incroyable!  Maybe they even know what you were wearing at the time.
  13. You can always contact us when you get here Chocccie! Christine http://animalaidsaintaubin.monsite.wanadoo.fr
  14. No ! What sort of weeds have you got ? !
  15. Di, I think I've made it, without going via the Lot!  Quelle galère to get a photo on here! Please click below for "exotic weeds" http://www.flickr.com/photos/36551799@N00/show/
  16. There was a programme on Prince William on French TV on Saturday night, and he still isn't married! Best wishes and welcome to the Deux-Sèvres, Christine
  17. Thank you so much for your help Iceni. Tresco said you would know about these things. What I cannot understand is why the insert an image thing on here doesn’t work and you have to have a link to a photo. Does that mean that the other photos I have inserted in texts are not visible either? On my post « Anyone for a Jack Russell » for example, can noone see the photo? Iceni, I think I shall have to accept your kind offer and send my weeds via the Lot! Many thanks, Christine
  18. We have just seen on the French animal programme « 30 Millions d’Amis », a dogs’ home called Dog’s Trust, Liverpool. Looks a lovely place. We saw Buster, the dog thief, being trained by Richard Jones, who was trying to get him to put his energy to better use. Perhaps some of you know this animal centre, when you get back from Le Mans (they said something about 50,000 British there). Where we are there is a cycle race going on, don’t know how they do it either in this heat. Christine
  19. I haven't put weedkiller on them!  And I can see them there. I once saw someone put a photo of his alsatian in the Pets section saying now that he had Windows XP he could post photos.  I have Windows XP.  Could it be that if you don't, you can't see them either?  Do you have XP Tresco?  Can someone enlighten us please? Thanks, Christine
  20. He nearly had you, Raymond. Faillir to fail : He failed to have you, Raymond. Christine
  21. Thank you for your interest in my weeds Tresco.  Can you see them now, a closer upper version?   Can anyone see them? Maybe I need some lessons in weeds and in photos!
  22. If the ad is in a French newspaper, that may mean that the English who read it speak French.  So why not put the ad in French and target the French at the same time, mentioning that it is a "société anglaise"?  Just a thought... Christine
  23.    Look what we've got on our land (bottom of Deux-Sèvres).  Does anyone know what this plant is?  Does anyone else have any?  They grow very tall, start off by pink flowers, then become these sort of berries.  They are lovely in a flower arrangement, but what are they? Christine
