Hi all Some food for thought here.  HOwever, we are unlucky in that we dont own the house we live in, it is rented, (one reason why we brought a house in france as we could not afford to get on the housing ladder in the Uk)  (other reason we love france[:D]) so unfortuantly we have nothing to sell and will need to make sure our pensions will support us if we cant find work. However, I am lucky enough to have the school holidays in which to live in france so technically i can spend 12 weeks every year there at the moment. ( not always possible but i try any way). My husband and I have now after a lot of years working for peanuts, and bringing up kids on a shoe string, got jobs that pay a halfway decent salary.  The other reason is that 4 of our kids (yes we have 5 of them) will want to remain in the UK.  We also have 3 small grandkids.  (we are not over the hill yet we started very young[:P]).  We have another 15 - 20 years before we can retire[:(] Judith  XX

Hi Holiday home in the vendee, we would do any legal work that paid really, However, we are in quite well paid jobs here at the moment and will contiue to be so until the house has been renovated, although perfictly habitable at the moment ( we have been using it for 5 years) we are still workin on getting it how we want it.  So yes my heart is saying go now but my mind is saying you have to earn the money first[:(] Judith XX

Hello All John the new twingo has not got the same ......... somthing that the old ones have, of course it got beaten by a panda.[:(] Twingoman I agree classic over not any day.  My OH does all my serviceng for me so no prob, he has put me an Miles and hour speedo in new tyres, mats, lights....  i could go on he has decided that he quite likes my little twingo as well.  He keeps asking ot borrow it any way[:D]  The other thing I have found really good is that I dont have to go to the petrol station every 10 mins which with the current cost of fuel is a bonus. Good eveing  everyone I am now thinking that I am pre meno I will be 45 this year so very possible - today i managed to have a hot flush in the class room then passed out for a split second, long enough toland on the floor, i am feeling ok now but do feel very wound up for no particular reason.  Thanks to you all, I dont think i am going mad any more. Hi everyone Really interesting reading.  We only have a  holiday home but we are lucky enough to be able to get to it quite a few weeks a year, each august we have held a party in our barn for the people we know in france just because we can, i have found this a really good way of getting to know neighbours they are all interested in the crazy english who do things so differently from the french,(even when they are trying not too) we have  had some great fun at these parites each year and it seems we invite more french friends each year. As to learning the language, my neighbour tries to take me shopping in the summer and i have intense frenglaise lessons as she is keen to learn english as well.  We also MSN each other as often as we can i have to write in french and her in English, can be most entertaining.  I have even attempted to write her a letter in french this week.[:$] J X

Hi Furry Yes i have seen a couple with eyelashes on but mines black and i dont think they would suit her, some nice bright yellow sun flowers perhaps, or some designer bubbles down the side... [8-)] I still cant make my mind up but i am really enjoying driving her.  I dont think any one else in this area has one so its a little bit of a novelty to friends and neighbours at the moment. Hello FurryKnickers Do you have any photos of your twingo?   The first one i looked at was vomit yellow (sorry only way to describe it) it was a really nice car but the owner wanted too much money for it considering it had no mot ect.  but hey ive got a really lovley balck one now so no complaints from me[:D]  i think mine was originally from germany but has been to scotland and london before it came to us. Thank you guys It's all very entertaining and love it all keep it up. On a more serious note;  It is a left hand drive car, the headlights have been changed it has a duel speedo and and extra fog light on the back to make it meet Uk regulations.  It has air con but only when you open the roof.  Russethouse its funny you should mention mini mars because just like having one of those is never enough my OH has now purchased another twingo to fettle with.[:D] Frenchie you have acouple of nice vehicles there [:-))] ihope your son made loads of money[:)] Krusty thanks for the though but i was thinking of somthing more..............actually i can'th ink what to do its just it doesn't look as interesting in just a black coat, I did suggest putting yellow stripes on it and getting yellow seat covers but OH didn't like the idea[geek] Thanks again for all the replys Judith XX

[:D]    I have a Twingo Hi all I have been looking at Tingos for years and have always like the look of them, i know there are lots of differing opinions about them but I love them. After visiting france in April HO finally ageed to help me buy one.  so here she is my new baby   I would like suggestions because i want to put some funky  stickers on it any ideas?   J XXX
