1. Oh what a beautiful boy Jan - I'll keep everything I can crossed that he returns safe and well chez vous.
2.
I always get chickens and jumpers mixed up! :-)
That must make for some interesting Sunday roasts [:D][:D]
3. I had a cat with 3 legs (Ben, car accident @ 3 yrs, lived to 17-ish) - he was very, very good at begging ("oh but, just look at poor wee me with only 3 legs, how can I fend for myself" he'd yell at us every day from his post by the fridge) - but, isn't this the wrong thread for this . . . ? BTW, he was also very, very good at mousing [:-))] [8-|]
4. Bonne nuit, dormez bien (et appréciez vos sucreries) [:-))]  Je souhaite que j'aie été là aussi [;-)]  (For the snickers, obviously!!)
5. No ghoulies or ghosties here either (wish I could add, just goolies and posties but, sadly, it wouldn't be true) . . . [:-))] [:$]
6. Soz J.R. [:(]  didn't mean to appear critical - I'm trying to make myself speak/write better French so I always try to get it right myself (also, ex-typing teacher [:$]  so old habits die hard!!)
7.
I too have been looking for a salopette but recently found why I had been getting funny looks, it appears [:D]that the female version of a salopard is a salope
[:$] [:D] [:D]
8. Mais oui, c'est le Toussaint (major Jour Férié)!  You may find the odd supermarket open but that's about all - enjoy your day off [8-|] BTW, you'll find all the dates for the Jours Fériés for the next 40+ years here
9. I used to ski as a teenager (few years and few stones lighter [:(] - if only I could find some salopettes to fit (note to self:  check e-Bay immediately) [:D] On the plus side, at least I'd have a soft landing when I fall over . . . however, maybe this winter's diet will be more successful than (many) previous years' [;-)][:$]
10.
Local to you ?
Yup, it's about 45 mins from us here in Castelnaudary - head for Mirepoix then follow signs for Mont d'Olmes.  Great views [8-|], you should have a look sometime when you're over here [:D]
11. Here's one of my favourites from a local ski resort, Mont d'Olmes:
12. This is weird, I just checked again to see what I could see that Pads couldn't and the 2nd photo (the one with blue sky, chateau-type house, row of houses and boats) wasn't there (just the grey box with the wee red x in the corner) - I began to type a reply and went back to check which photo I could see (are you keeping up with me?) and they were both there . . . therefore, ignore this message as I can now see 2 photos, I think [8-)]
13.
Anything?????
I can now see 2 different pics that you've posted - is the latest one the one you tried to post first? Gie's a clue - where are they? [8-)]
14. Oops, you cheated by posting while I was too [:P]  That's much better, can see it now - well done [:D] [:D] BTW, what/where is it?
15.
I've posted it through Photobucket..........!  Thats very strange because I closed my system down and just come back to it and the photo is there!
Soz, this is what appears on my screen:
16. Main (easy):  Chicken and Prawn Creole (by British Heart Foundation) – Serves 8             Preparation time less than 30 mins / Cooking time 30 mins to 1 hour Ingredients §          675g / 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken §          1 tbsp vegetable oil §          2 onions, coarsely chopped §          3 cloves garlic, chopped §          1 each red + green pepper, coarsely chopped §          1 can (800g / 28 oz) tomatoes §          1 litre / 1¾ pint chicken stock §          1 tsp dried thyme §          1 tsp dried oregano §          ¼ tsp cayenne pepper §          450g / 1lb long grain rice §          450g / 1lb medium prawns (fresh or frozen) §          20g / ¾ oz chopped fresh parsley Method 1.        In large nonstick pan, heat oil over medium heat and cook chicken for about 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add onions and garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until softened. 2.        Stir in peppers and add tomatoes, breaking up with back of spoon. Add stock, thyme, oregano and cayenne; bring to boil. 3.        Stir in rice and cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. 4.        Meanwhile, in a saucepan of boiling water, cook prawns for 3 minutes and drain. Peel and de-vein if necessary. Add prawns to rice mixture and cook for 5 minutes or until prawns are hot. Stir in parsley. I make this differently each time, depending on what I’ve got to hand) (eg, with chicken or turkey breasts, with prawns or mixed frozen seafood, with chilli flakes + Harisa paste) and it’s always gone down really well, very tasty.  You can make it as hot as you like.
17. Soz 47AJM, still not working - you've got us guessing now.  Come on, try again . . . maybe 3rd time lucky [:D]
