Mrs Ern here.  Just picked mine up for the first time and booked for nurse to come and do the deed.
3.
I am with you on that one Bluecat as I think Dancing on Ice is incredible. To think some of these celebs have never been on ice skates before and to what they achiieve at the end of the programme is amazing. I say to people don''t knock what you could never manage to do yourselves.
Absoluely ValB.  I can't even stand up on ice (tried it once in Aviemore).  My friend Gill was so inspired by D-on-I that she took up ice skating at the age of 45 and 3 years later is now working towards Level 4 (One-foot glide on a curve–outside edge (l & r); Backward skating and a two-foot glide; Skating forward and turning to backward (vice-versa); Continuous forward chassés around a circle)  I take my hat off to her.
4.
Bluecat, you could buy one of Ola Jordan's dance dresses if you wanted to - and if you're a size 8. http://www.jamesandolajordan.co.uk/dancers/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4&Itemid=18 Hoddy
If only!!!
5. It's Mrs Ern here after finally getting my login details sorted, I can join in again. Just wanted to say, I love Strictly and enjoy annoying him indoors when he's home and I want to watch it live or recorded whilst he still has his eyes open.  Glad JS went but thought their last dance was quite charming.  Wish Cheri was still in it though. At the risk of annoying the "reality" haters, I can't wait for the return of Dancing on Ice.
6.
What are you implying sweets, not that my that my MG might not be up to it I hope [:-))] Having had it for 21 years and driven it for over 200,000 miles I have never once had anything more than the odd minor breakdown which I was always able to immediately fix at the roadside so I have to tell you that I would take that very very personally [:D]
I'll vouch for that.  He should write about the water pump pully at the top of the A1 some years ago!
7. Mrs Ern here At the risk of deviating from the entire thread, thought I'd just throw my support into the pot for those men that "will and can do".  After more than 40 years, Ernie's learnt that it's easier to do whatever is needed for the easy life so I have no complaints.  Seriously, he's a good lad and has improved with age.  I think it all hinges on me never giving him lists of things that need doing; I have my ways but won't divulge in public as it'll give the game away to him.
8. Does anyone here belong to Weight Watchers in Cahors. My doctor wants me to join which I will do next week; it would be nice if other English speakers were there too even thought it will be a good way to improve my French language skills. Margaret
9. We have a very nice large oriental rug given to us before we left the UK.  However, it does need a good clean.  Any recommendations beyond housemaid's knee DIY; either to buy a small cleaner that does the job or where to hire an appropriate piece of kit from.  Alternatively, I could suggest Ernie gets on his hands and knees!! Margaret
10. It's ErnieY's "er indoors" here.  Too bad about the kichen!   Will have to wait now until our friend in the UK takes his units out next year.  So no divorce court yet.
