I took a look at the Eastern Daily Press site and it is much much better than what you have here. It really looks good! Looking forward to next week. Drifter PS hope you didn't get too much grief from members re the state of the Forum these last few weeks.    

Hey guys you want to take a look at this site; www.moneysavingexpert.com and take a look at their forums (?) . Martin Lewis, the money saving expert, has from memory updated his website forum at least twice now this year and if you look carefully for the thread, you will see that this latest one is being very well received by its members. MSE hasn't got the backing that Archant has but he seems to please his membership. Just remember guys, you upset your audience and they will steer clear of your products and vote with their feet! Regards  

I think that if you go to the thread above "Slowness of Site" you will see that Archant have a problem with their computers

Good morning Rosiegirl, I am a new to this Forum but I have always been a long established newsstand reader of Living France & its sister publications. As I am now approaching retirement and the wish to move to France, I thought that by joining the Living France Forum I could "communicate" with like minded people either here in the UK or France. What struck me immediately when I signed up was not only it being a slow site, but also my particular problem of not seeing the authors name in the display, or for that matter; finding the control panel. I really don't know why as it does not happen elsewhere. However, I am "pleased" that it just not me. We could possibly petition Johnny Hustler and ask him to speed things up a bit. I have asked elsewhere but still having no luck, so far, with the question of why I cannot see an author name on the individual postings. It has been suggested that it is either a problem with javascript or even the firewall on my pc. As this problem does not happen with other forums that I subscribe to, is it a just peculiar to the Living France Forum or is it me?
