  1. Wise words - I didn't know any of that so thanks.
  2. Quillan, There are many posts on this forum that have nothing to do with France, I don't see you jumping on them. This one was to do with the LF forum. It was not aimed at anyone, it was about a couple of people. Can you point out where I have breached the code of conduct of this forum? There is a breach of the code in this thread, but again you haven't spotted it - calling someone Windy instead of Wendy is insulting, and that isn't allowed on this forum. "when they reply you take some form of higher ground and say there you are, se what they are like,  I think in law it's called entrapment" I don't know how you could get that idea from this thread. "Are you deliberatly trying to get certain people to reply to ensure they are banned, what type of incitment is this?" No, I am not - again this is a wild-eyed reading of the thread. In any case nobody gets banned from this forum. Usernames get banned, then the 'banned' person comes back with a different name, like outcast. "If after that you wish to carry on in public I am only to willing to oblige" Sorry, don't understand what that means.
  3. Thanks, you are both very funny too, like Tweedledum and Tweedledee. When you call me Windy it renders me helpless with mirth. You're a great loss to the UK, but at least we can enjoy you on this forum.
  4. Nothing lasts for ever. And posted within 5 minutes of each other - fancy that.
  5. This forum is so pleasant when one or two of its members take a leave of absence. Funny enough they both seem to have gone away together...isn't that odd?
  6. ??? Which part do you find abusive and not inferred from your posts? What is your evidence for your mystifying second assertion?
  7. "I think you are being very intolerant." The intolerance is mostly yours. You seem to delight in skirting the fringes of what is acceptable. It seems to amuse you to refer to Sikhs as 'sicks', who wear 'funny' bits of cloth in their long hair. That sort of post is puerile and racist. It annoys you that, in your eyes, Sikhs in Britain don't just integrate into the country which colonised theirs. Perhaps you should spend more time integrating into your country of residence, you could go to a French forum and post in French there - after all, the time you spend here makes you a hypocrite.
  8. James, I'm with Tresco on this. The sikh/sick thread was racist from the start, I agree, but it ran for at least a couple of days, perhaps more, before you decided it was racist. Why? The 'physically sick' thread had lots of posts deleted, and Quillan said it was because they didn't make sense without the offending one. That can't be true, as the offending one came at the end, and therefore had no effect on what went before. Threads that are unconnected to France often appear in the postbag. The fox hunting one ran and ran, although I notice that has also mysteriously been deleted in its entirety. Can I suggest something for the well-being of the forum? Why don't you make sure that banned posters stay banned? 'outcast' has been banned in a previous identity as 'rubberduck', then as '10 4', and probably as 'dunrunnin' too. He is responsible for practically all the recent unpleasantness on this forum, along with the originator of the sikh/sick thread - it wouldn't surprise me if they were the same person. By the way Tresco, I was told by a member who saw it (not a mod) that the offending post was one by 'outcast' aimed at me. That's the 'outcast' who is banned from this forum... Wendy
  9. Quillan, Whose post was it, and who was it attacking? Wendy
  10. What I like about both Blunkett and Prescott is their uncompromising, take-me-as-I-am honesty. Tony Blair gets criticised for telling people what they want to hear. You couldn't say that about these two. I thought that Prescott hitting that egg-chucker was magnificent. If you think it was an example of thuggery, you are in a minority - if you were in the majority he would have had to resign over it.
  11. Mazan, "he is an incoherent thug (this is on record)" "Blunkett is a vindictive and hypoctitical creep, "Two jags" Prescott is just an incoherent thug..... I am neither vindictive, nor hypocritical nor incoherent nor a thug. All I did was give my opinion of them and most if not all of it can be backed up by recorded fact." Can you point me to the recorded facts that illustrate the truth of what you say? Which record are you referring to? Do you mean Hansard's? Does an incoherent man get to the place in public life that Prescott has reached (pace George W.)? It seems to me that half the people on this thread are slinging insults without justification. A sort of hysteria has taken over and this is what happens when one party rules for a long time and the other hasn't a chance of getting in.
  12. Paulrlinux: "He was a lazy, simple-thinking right wing thug." Can you corroborate those harsh words with any facts? I don't see how a lazy, blind man can get to be the third most powerful person in the country. His time as Home Secretary has been notable for the extraordinary amount of work he has got through. These schoolyard insults would be more meaningful if they related to something in the real world.
  13. "The UK is well rid of this vindictive, two-faced creep. One of the nastiest ever to darken the Commons." That may be the view of one outsider looking in, but it certainly isn't the majority view in the UK. I am sorry to see him go, I thought he was a man of great decency and integrity, qualities which not every politician is blessed with. I don't recall Michael Howard falling on his sword when he fast-tracked a passport for a friend as Home Secretary, but doubtless this is who Mazan will be cheering on at the next election. I agree with Miki about the silly name-calling on this forum when politics comes up. I suppose it comes from people who are frustrated because their party will not be in power again for quite some time. Would Blunkett have resigned in France? I'd like to think not.
  14. Thanks Quillan, There was a PM but as I couldn't log on I don't know what it said.
  15. Can a moderator tell me why my posts have been deleted from this thread and why I had to register again?
