p.s. forgot  to say that you should abrade the surface first to help the adhesion of whatever product you choose ,otherwise it will eventually peel off. Mixing the non slip material saves you having to walk over the wet oaint to sprinkle the non slip material.otherwise you will be buying new shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you get around to replacing tiles then buy the porous non slip type. I have had a pool with these tile for ten years without accident,but there is an adjoining area where smooth non absorbent tiles were laid and these are a death trap for the unwary.

I f you mix the sand with the epoxy ,then the surface will not look as dirty .depending on size and quantity you add ,naturally. I would recommend 10% of sand and try a small patch first to see if you are happy with it. From a retired paint technologist. BETTER TO HAVE A SLIGHTLY DIRTY APPEARANCE THANA TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL[:D]

hi Are battery refreshers a ood idea. I have a Novitec,megapulse battery manager ,which should be attached while charging 12 volt batteries and is caimed to remove any deposit on plates.

After they both stopped laughing hysterically my wife said  "serves you right [:$]" for using such a stupid,useless piece of equipment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !Meanwhile back with the Flintstones Wilma is patiently carvinf the agenda for the first meeting on a stone!!!

The recent strenth of the pound  v the euro is I suppoe a move due to uk coming out, slowly, from recesion at last...........although once Obama threatens to sort out the banks ,the strength slides down again....Is that a corect asumption and how do others see the months ahead ,especially for retirees in France dependent on a sterling pension. p.s. by sterling I mean pounds sterling   and not a fat pension.[:D]

As a new non pc person what is the simplest way...step by step ...to play a dvd on my lap top?? Our garden club has bought a projecter and THEY WANT TO USE MY LAP TOP TO SHOW A DVD OF GARDENS. I can sychronose everything ....but what do I DO TO PLAY A DVD. THE SYSTEM IS XP  and it has on it intervideoWin dvd, realPlayer and even Apple Quick time player. Unless something has corrupted the system I know my son who is in uk has used it successfully to play dvd's. I recently bought a Canon camera and theirZOOM browser can play slides ok and I have a dvd alredy on the laptopfrom the internt made by tonight's speaker and I CAN PLAY THAT. BUT IF IF INSERT ANOTHER DVD INTO MY LAPTOP IT DOES NOT PLAY ![8-)]

Actually the Lascaux idea intriques me .[I]as when I WAS IN PAID EMPLOYMENT ...AND NOT A GARDENER'S ASSISTANT  TO MY WIFE(UNPAID[;-)]) I was a chief chemist for several companies and although I was o.k. at formulating paints for houses to nuclear power stations I could not draw or paint artistically,although good with painting on walls by brush,spray guns etc...even resonably clean finish without runs!! Since I arrived in France, I THOUGHT I would try painting on paper with oils ,watercolour etc.and have improved so much my wife has even allowed me to frame one or two and hang them on the wall!!!!!!!!!!!![8-|] Mind you her eyesight is failing and when she has her cataract removed next month I suppose she will take them all down!!!!!!!!!!!!![:(] In that case I might re-visit the caves and offer my services.[:P]

hi, I am computer illiterate so please help.[8-)] I was told it was a good idea to store info. in case of computer crashing etc. and when in uk my son recommended I buy WD WESTERN DIGITAL "MY PASSPORT ESSENTIAL"HARDRIVE. This I was told to plug into the pc and ICOULD SAVE ,PARTICULARLY, MY PHOTOGRAPHSTHAT I HAVE TAKEN OVER THE LAST 7 YEARS. The equipment has no instructions like a lot of stuff you buy...I suppose they expect every purchaser to be a pc expert. Can you explain,simply,what to do step by step. Also when you have the info downloaded can you then delete some from the harddive to make space for future storage if so desired [:)][8-)] thanks.

SORRY TO HEAR OF THE ACCIDENT,HOWEVER THINK POSITIVELY OF ALL THE HAPPY TIMES HE GAVE YOU Pets are like family and their loss is just as sad...........................We have had losses over the years like many others on the forum  and after a while when you get round to it I would suggest you get another cat...there are lots needing a good home .This will help you in my opinion Years ago we lost our 7year old dog on Xmas night and it was the first time that I had heard  my adult son cry,who had been with her since a puppy . We have a 8year old cat  now which was the stupid one according to the owner ,who no one wanted.!Stupid.............I have never seen a stupid cat...........ours now has the run of the house,beds,chairs and demands to lie in your arm while I am typing on this keyboard ...in the position of a baby,..he actually turns over upside down and you have to put your arm up quickly to support him. Let us know what you do .  

HI, I received from son in uk a xmas present as above. GREAT camera but it came with 2 discs and 1 unloaded automatically onto laptop to show me how to download pictures. However second disc did not download and  I am very new to pc's etc. A small booklet of 30 pages came  with the camera but it does not tell me much,unlike my previous Nikon coolpix with 168 pages. Has anyone the same camera who can e-mail me the information so I can findout how to use the many different tools on the camera. p.s.I am 73 nearly ,so bear with me and no complicated methods to download disc--perhaps it is damaged??  if you have methods to unload it please give me basic step by step instructions. [8-)] I have tried without sucess so far.   p.p.s.  PERHAPS THIS IS PROGRESS..............I never had this problem with my 1948 box ENSIGN camera.......................... NOW when we run out of fueletc.in the next century someone [:D]will re-invent image taking apparatus without problems!!! We bought a bench top cooker/grill 9 months ago(Rowenta and 270euro! VERY HAPPY UNTIL TONIGHT! After using oven for40 minutes we started our meal and about 50minutes later heard a bang in the kitchen! The glass door was broken and glass everywhere including door handle which was connected to a light piece of metal which was attached to the top of the glass with a handle. Snowed in at the moment ,but what claim do I have ,assuming we have ot misued the equipment.? My wife isvery careful and only 2 retired people at home.[:(]

hi experts, I was given a Canon Powershot A480 camera for Xmas and it came with 2 disc's. I know little about computers but managed to put a solution disc in and it automatically downloaded onto my windowsXP laptop and I can download photos. It is not as friendly as my 10 year old Nikon Coolpix775 but I will just have to get used to it. Now a second disc called a solution discv40.0 was put into my machine but will not download automatically.Since camera  manual is only 34 pages and there must be a wealth of other info.on the second disc--- can someone advise.....very simply what I need to do.???? I am very new to computers and at 72 years of age wonder how I got so far without one.!!!!!!!!!!   Second problem is that I alas  cannot unload a disc that came with an Mitsubishi XD221U  projecter for our local garden club.,so again .,please help.[8-)][8-)]

when in uk last month ordered an electric one which are cheaper than purchasing in France.However when I returned and chased up the delivery I  was  told that they could not deliver garden machinery abroad!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they had taken my money!which was refunded ,but dear oh dear. Not surprising that exporters in uk are in a hopeless position!!We can fly to the moon but not send 50 kilos of machinery !!!!!!!!I GIVE UP. WHEN I worked in uk I was exporting equipment and dangerous paint coatings worldwide ---I think customer service has gone out of the window in so many industries------------------now when I was a lad I did  24 HOURS A DAY IN PIT ,WALKED HOME 1O MILES, MADE ME OWN SANDWICHES...................................................you have never had it so easy in the u.k. thes days...............social security from 16 years of age......................bring back national service I say.[:P][:(]

SUNDAY DRIVER  13/11/2009 in this subject gave the method to calculate. i.e.take the RFR ,then subtract 7918 euro from the RFR, THEN multiply the figure by 3.44% to give maximum impossable TdH .mine comes out at 414 but billed for 500euro.[:)]
