1. The Meteo shows France has had its share of higher than average rainfall?
2. Jon, I am sure you come under, " moving to France for more rational reasons." I wish you well in your endeavours and hope you enjoy happier times.
3. Why do they come to France - but then return to the UK? Because they are seduced by the many TV programmes extolling the virtues of living in France yet fail to mention the high unemployment or cost of renovating those qaint pile of ruins the locals sell so expertly to Brits. Then there are those Brits. trying to escape problems of their own making but merely succeed in taking their mental baggage, plus rose tinted specs., to anothercountry with its' Brit. ghetto: For them the next place is always better than the last. Some, prior to the above TV programms, actually moved to France for more rational reasons.
4. Looking at the Meteo map I see the weather across France is as bad as it is in the UK ! Oh well, I had the silly idea that French summers were long and sunny but winters were short. Unusual year perhaps?
5. Business idea, Set up an investigation firm to locate these debtors, crooks and thieves who think they can hide from UK authorities by entering France. Could also film builders etc working on the "black." Hmmm.[I]
6. Sell up. Do your research first. Then start again.
7. But bear in mind that many people come to France thinking that all they have to do to make ends meet is to run a gite or B+B. Therefore, you face intense competition from other B+B hopefuls and established operators. Some TV programs have a lot to answer for.
8. Excellent photographs. My son has just married an Indian lady and my wife and I look forward to visiting her family in India, doubly so after seeing Sunils' photographs.

Repeat after me - "Back to your bridge you evil troll, you have no powers here!"
I trust "Billy Goat Gruff" escaped unscathed from said bridge collapses.[:D]

14. I asked a question relating to TEFL?CELTA but no one seems to have any know, however a search revealed these links (I should have carried out a search first - I know[;-)]): http://www.completefrance.com/cs/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=tefl&f=&u=
15.
Like Clair said in many ways we have after 17 years renounced our British nationality but for some eternal reason in sports terms this doesn't apply. I usually support France, except when they're playing England.
As in Le Rugby...........[B][:D]
16. No one is "bashing" any area. It is simply a fact that immigrants ( to America, Canada, Britain, Italy, France etc) do tend to gather in groups ( look at Bradford in the UK). The British abroad do likewise despite those who piously claim to spurn English speaking immigrants. The Dordogne is still a beautiful area regardless of the languages spoken in its' various corners.
17. Hides chocolate stains for example[;-)]
18. Brown towels - hide a multitude of sins and can be washed less frequently ![:-))]
