I would agree with others on the forum about paying by direct debit, EDF are really good, but a word of warning, pay first bill by cheque and give direct debit details at same time, we only sent DD details with first bill and nearly ended up getting cut off. I have also found that by emailing or writing to EDF with Dates you will be at your home they will send technician to read the meter, I have just arrange my next meter reading for 2nd June between 10-12pm , (dont get the same service in UK) >We only became the owners last >week, and the first bill's >arrived in the UK already >- very efficient! >There's a tear-off portion with the >bill, which I assume gets >sent back to EDF, but >with what? My bank details >so that CA pays it >direct? A cheque? Help! >We don't want to set up >a direct debit, but prefer >to pay 'as and when' >the bill comes. > >Pete
