  5. We used to live in Wells Somerset yes it was a local cheese made by a large producer but no longer made in Wells. As you may or maynot know Wells is just 9 miles from Cheddar where they still make the Proper stuff. My Dad used to be a Cheesemaker  so give me a good truckle any day large blocked cheddar has no comparison in taste or texture as far as I'm concerned. Christmas time we used to have a whole Truckle sat on the marble shelf in the larder along with the pickled eggs/onions & chutney oooohhhh those were the days

But when he came up the escalator near the end in his Tuxs carrying a red rose well what can I say but Ooooooo Aaaaaaaa. I have told my husband that he is the only fella I would leave him for so I think he's pretty safe don't you?

They formed an association so they get the room for free! 19. Wonderful day here in 79. Sun shining birds singing & at last our fosse is being fitted. Just as well the rain has stopped the garden looks like a bomb has hit it. Still gotta be worth it not to have drains to flush out every morning. Hey Ho Spring is just around the corner. All is great with the Lanarios

  21. Our 106 is 9 years old we moved over in Aug got insurance cover no problem. You do not need CT  for insurance. We are know in process of registering car. Suggest you try another insurance company
  22. Yes the certificate is still required we are in the process of registering our 106 . Finally got it through  CT . Letter of conformity etc all gone off to powers that be.
  23. In answer to Quillans post. We trust Jonathons advice without question & found it easier to speak with him & although he didn't need to do anything to involved we felt he took alot of pressure off us having to deal with any issues we may of had. The notaire we had spoke very little english & as we were not conversant with French law using Jonathon made our purchase a doddle! So I would say each to they're own when choosing either Notaire or English lawyer just so long as you are confident with whoever you choose.
  24. I can recomend Jonathon Cavender of Harris & Harris E mail [email protected] We come from somerset & have used this firm on several occasions .They have an office in the Dordorgne this is where Jonathon practises from. His partners still practise in Somerset & are a well respected firm of solicitors Jonathon liased with our French notaire on points that we couldn't understand. Well worth a call an ok fella. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
