1.

Surely whatever floats your boat is allowed in the rich tapestry of life  [8-|]
John, you can't float a boat on a tapestry!  Mixed metaphor there, I'm afraid.  Sorry to nit-pick, but it's the sort of thing that I always notice.
Well spotted, but I think you'll find quite a few tapestries have boats floating on them  [6] But life is what it is, whether you are into Mensa or celebs is ok by me and you don't need to be in it to understand more peoples association with celebs than Mensa, Errol Flynn to Churchill, Jade to Diana, not quite all flim flam either, witness unwilling celeb for the moment  Earl Charles Spencers comments for a bit of gravitas. Bring on Camilla and Carla, they will give at least some exposure to Gordon, Nicolas and a proper Charlie [8-|]
2. 10 times more people view this post, than those who post; Why? gisasong, here's one for you. rick and one from Chuck
3. Exactly, never assume . . . . . . depends if you have a happy head, I guess RH I thought we were in the vein of making comment about discussions between Brown/Sarkozy which no-one has the detail to comment, as opposed to Camilla / Carla;  not too much acid there? Bit heavy Logan, I was talking in the vein celebrity, Hello / OK mags etc are you saying you have no diversions to relax? certainly a critical appreciation of all things has been my motto, what was the comment about Jade? (poor girl[:)]) Be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and listen to others, even the dull have their story. Avoid aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. [8-|]
4. Miaowwww!, here pussycat, pussycat, pussycat, would you like another saucer of milk! teabreak here and I was surfing for a little diversion. . . . . I guess whatever you're following is just a little distraction from the serious stuff of the day, of which you may not be capable of a meaningful comment. I especially liked the mail pic, surely worth 2G of any papers dosh. Like people who watch junk TV, maybe it is probably more to do with turning brain off for a bit, and maybe getting a little comfortable feeling, which has a scientific explanation, from a release of the endorphins to your comfort zone. Surely whatever floats your boat is allowed in the rich tapestry of life  [8-|]
5. loved it cathy, what you might call a brommer Good to hear from you again Weedon, Randy, great, Max, wot are you like! Playing this cause I'm decorating (on tea break) and ahhhhh memories of a previous Ceiling do NOT watch the video!
6. Thanks everybody for your concern, genuinely, perhaps I should just leave it at this stage, but me being me; though this is my last word on the subject. Promise. Forgive me if the rest of what I have to say has the cotton wool removed. Sometimes you want to hear from people who understand exactly without explanation. I am trying to deal with my grief in my own way, in my own time, thank you. Sorry if it spills over I don't intend it to; the question is, 'cut to the chase' . . . a) did your partner die b) are you happy now if the answer to the above is yes, what did you do between a and b, feel free to pm or e-mail me (in a happy good way) [8-|] Sincere apologies if that was a bit blunt
7. no this is the voice Matty groves  Or liquide, what a way to spend a day though, hero to zero in 24 hrs, hey ho nonny!
8. well now you're talking, my secret vice, gimme four fingers of scotch on the rocks and lets fly [8-|]
9. Wouldn't we all, just remember we are here for a good time not a long time. Can you believe Grace Slick (jefferson airplane) singing never argue with a german! [8-|]
10. sounds familiar but I've never heard it before, could it be 'Abide with me'? Lots of Sunshine in my life right now, but with regard to  Sue the music has it.[8-|] somebody play some heavy metal !!!
11. I thought the 'here on earth' gave it away; I can't go with that kind of spiritual, although of course people live on in everyones memory; the problem of talking in cliches I guess, just to be clearer, how have other widow/ers reshaped their lives?, where do they go? did they follow the plan, buy a Harley or run off to Cuba? or what? Personally I eschew the 'help' organisations, I did not have favourable experiences with ''do-gooders'' during Sue's illness. It seemed to me that ticking boxes was priority, it was all so PC, real listening was not in their vocabulary and 'support' was what they wanted to do, not what sue needed. were others experiences more favourable? has anyone used the UK widows forum, does it have any bearing on a social life in France for widow/ers? as I said, I value the experience of others in the same situation here in France. (in a good happy way[8-|])
12. Death is this thy sting? Wishing to be positive I have found myself in the position of looking for life after death here on earth. More specifically in France, as on this forum, since France is my preferred place. Whilst being aware that it is a very personal thing and not looking for the Macmillan 45 degree tilt of the head, I assumed I would find discussion on experiences and life changes amongst widows, widowers and others suffering loss but have found little. Most understanding is in others who have had the same experience and least with embarrassed 'move on' phrases from well wishers. as Terry would say 'Is it me'? over to you . . . .
13. See my poston In reply but, among other things, music is a panacea, - like. . . Tina hot or wot [8-|]
14. Hi Cathy, nice to hear from you again, my attention span is all over the place at the moment, but all of James stuff is a Laff or wot, after that I was listening to Barry [8-|]
15. Great stuff, well followed; I couldn't resist this ripost for the brilliant nickelback, Just so everyone knows, this song is NOT making fun of Nickelback, this is just supposed to be a fun song, but I think it just shades the original, Laff or wot! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7uSlqI1AVUk
16.
I can only hope that she didn't suffer at the end, and that she died the peaceful and dignified death that she had been hoping would be allowed to her, but that the state had denied her.
I can't tell you if she did, I didn't know her; but I can tell you from personal experience that that sort of Medieval end is terribly hard for the woman sufferering. . . and the whole family don't just grieve after but continue to suffer the agony of it all, it is not an easy memory. Worse is the taboo about it, I was relieved to see your discussion, there are threads for all sorts of trivial things but Death is not included, Does no one feel the need to discuss death, it must surely affect many on this forum.
17. Recommend LITOZIN, (rosehip basically), it has some effect, when I mentioned it to the doc he spurted his coffee back into the cup and laughed; (but he did specifically say lose weight and lay off alcohol especially brandy! unless it's clear, gin or vodka?, I decided balance was the thing, so I do everything, (except jogging. . .) [8-|]  Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
