  1. Carole There will always be things on! But 87 is a big place! Tell us whereabouts you will be - which Commune - and then maybe people can tell you of anything they know about. (If no-one does then, when you get here, look at posters in shops etc.. ) regards Jane _______________________ Jane Davis www.immolim.com Selling property in the Limousin region of France

  3. LAST EDITED ON 29-Nov-03 AT 03:14 PM (GMT) Hi Your local Mairie will keep a register of builders in your Commune. These are the best people to use - they live local, are legitimate and know the right materials and so on to use. However, if you need some help with language etc.. feel free to ask. I'm always happy to travel out to the Creuse - for a small fee! ;) _______________________ Jane Davis www.immolim.com Selling property in the Limousin region of France
  4. Hi Sorry, I don't know of an architect, but remember if the buildings are less than 100m2 then you don't officially need one! (And it's much easier and cheaper to do the work yourself!) regards Jane _______________________ www.immolim.com Selling property in the Limousin region of France
  5. Following up recent posts on fishing, just in case anyone wants a couple of lovely lakes, have a look at those on www.immolim.com Reference 03065 Jane
  6. This is what my partner says: most if not all rivers and lakes in the Cotes d'Armor and Finisterre are 1st Category waters, this means they can only be fished from around March until September every year. In order to fish these waters a Full licence (1st and 2nd Category) would have to be purchased - always assuming they do sell these in that part of Brittany. With a Full Licence these waters can be fished - when they are open - for any species. So although they contain mostly Trout and the like, there is no reason why your husband could not fish for the likes of Roach or Carp or whatever. But he would not be allowed to use 'traditional' Coarse baits like maggots. Apparently the neighbouring Ile et Vilaine has a lot more in the way of 2nd Category waters - which are open all year and DO allow for traditional coarse angling baits. (Does any of this mean anything to you/your husband because I don't understand it at all! But then, I'm not an angler!!!) regards Jane _______________________ Jane Davis www.immolim.com Selling property in the Limousin region of France
