1.
No, what I mean is confirm the flight , as they advised to do..
I am a little confused[8-)] who are 'they'? and how would you 'confirm'? I have never seen this on Ryanair, but there again I always check-in online! Also, why would anyone opt for no bags and airport check-in and pay £8?[blink] Any way none of this matters as you are now satisfied that all is OK[:)]
 2. Frenchie I fly Ryanair all the time!  Did you say when you booked that you wanted online-Check in or not? And have you use this facility before? If you did you can not not have bags! If after booking you decide you want a bag then do not use the online-check in and just contact the reservation help-line and add the bags, you will then have to check-in at the airport. Online check in is open between five days and 4 hour prior to your flight.
 3.
I think I will go and see it tonight.
Hi Katie Did you manage to see it yet? Here's a taster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzhxHsqQvsI&NR=1 Julie Walters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1d2Xci8qMM&NR=1
 4.
I presume you saw it in Shropshire and not the Dordogne as I've been keeping a careful eye on the listings around here (I'm on email alert each week for the programme). I'd love to see it but I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD, Christmas release maybe? Colin Firth [:-))]
Well I am spoilt for choice here (Shropshire, I live right on the welsh border) so easiest to get to is Wrexham, multi screen so you get a huge choice[:D] 'Lisleoise' I know you love horses, I have just spent last weekend at the 'Parreli' UK conference at the NEA Birmingham, It was spectacular, makes you look at horses in a totally different light! going to get a 'Carrot stick' and a swishy rope when I come back from my hols. Oh the Colin Firth thing, you wait till you hear him sing[kiss]
 5. I have just been to see the film 'Mamma Mia' and just wanted to say how good it was. I have not laughed so much at the cinema since Bridget Jones. I can highly recommend it to anyone (mostly us girls) wanting  a good laugh. Meryl Streep was wonderful and sang beautifully, Julie Walters was a hoot as usual, but for the girls Peirce Brosnan, Colin Firth really made the film (opposite side of the spectrum from James Bond and D'arcy) and didn't mind making fools of themselves dress in Abba skin tight cat suits[:-))][:-))] Colin Firth has a lovely voice and can serenade me anytime (only he turns out to be gay   [:(]) missing word can be found if you change the colour of the text! (don't want to spoil the end!!) Certainly one for the CD collection, when its out I'm an Abba fan anyway and the music  was fantastic, had my foot tapping all the way through.[:D][:D] Taking another friend again next week! well I am a bit of a film addict.
 6.
I'm not a phesant plucker I'm a phesant plucker's mate and I'm only plucking phesants cos the phesant plucker's late
I know this one as: I'm not a pheasant plucker Nor a pheasant plucker's son I'm only plucking pheasants till the pheasant plucker comes[:D]
 7.
Same here in the Dordogne. I am still using my 6 digit number that I was issued with 3 years ago.
I am with CA Charente-Perigord and I have just logged on. There is a chance to change your 'Pin'. On the left hand side of the screen (when you are into your account) under OUTILS click on Personnalisation and there you are:  Code personnel  Vous pouvez changer votre code personnel I changed mine to something easy to remember the first time I used it.
 8.
Oh thank you! What goes in the third blank then?
If I really get stuck on a question then I highlight it, copy it, and paste it onto: http://translate.google.com/translate_t easy!
 9. I wish I had not got involved with this thread[:-))] But I did! and have followed it from the start. The OP is passionate about HER badger baiting feelings, as we all are when it comes to cruelty to animals, BUT who is she trying to convert, no-one has apposed her views only the way that she insists in shoving it down our throats at every opportunity, this is what is grating at me anyway! Odile, you posed a question and I answered it at the start of this thread with what I thought was good advice and I tried to stay out of the rights and wrongs of hunting, but I feel you have now turned your thread into some kind of soapbox for your personal anti hunting campaign which I want no part of. I have listened to these arguments many times from both sides and have found them all futile, no-one wins. As far as I know there are no badger baiters on this forum, we do not need gruesome descriptions as to what goes on at a baiting site, so why do you continue to tell us?[:@]
 10.
Odile claimed: ....there are still many women in the UK who would not dare to disagree with their husbands at dinner parties, ....
What!! My husband won't dare disagree with me, full stop!![:-))][;-)][;-)][Www][:P] Edited just for you Panda[:D]
 11.
...but isnt hunting now banned in the UK?
What is banned is 'Hunting with dogs' it is quite legal to kill foxes, rabbits, vermin with guns, poison, gas. As catalpa say its is a 'a badly framed piece of legislation which is open to interpretation' Any way this thread was not about the UK hunting scene but France where most/ all? hunting is legal! Odile Would you move to India and start spouting out about wanting to eat cows or want to drink alcohol in Saudi? If you want to be accepted as a native then live as a native!
 12. This is Denny my daughters Jack Russel puppy, he's gorgeous[:D]
 13.
If you (one) are/is a 'towny' and I am not saying you are, you (one) will have no idea what make country folk tick! and you may not want to! My advice would be take people for what they are, if they turn out to be people that you would not ordinarily mix with then don't. My highlight
My definition of 'country folk' in this instance is someone who lives off the land, where generations have survived on crops and their animals  and where the line between what they think is protecting their livelihood and cruelty may not be the same as others. If one intends moving into an area that has a strong hunting tradition then one has three options: 1) Broadcast your opposing views and take the flack and never 'integrate'. 2) Accept that you wish to live there and shut up! 3) Don't move there in the first place, peace of mind and fitting in are more important. p.s. Sorry about the use of 'one' not my normal speak as it were, but I was speaking in a broader sense rather than directly to the OP
 14.
how difficult is it to 'integrate' into rural France if you hate hunting? Anecdotes, advice, opinions
I think it would be the same in any country, rural life is rural life in most European countries, and if you wish to 'integrate' then you either keep your opinions to yourself or you don't mix with people who carry out part of their life doing somthing that is abhorrent to you!! If you are a 'towny' and I am not saying you are, you (one) will have no idea what make country folk tick! and you may not want to! My advice would be take people for what they are, if they turn out to be people that you would not ordinarily mix with then don't. I am a country person and have views on country sports which I have learnt to keep to myself or share with like minded friends, Hunting can be a very touchy subject and you will not convince someone from the 'other side' that you are right and they are wrong, so my advice would be don't try, I would never dream of dissing any bodies lifestyle, as long as it was 'legal'. You either like someone or you don't.
 15. Atty Look in your PM's I have sent you a reply
 16.
Well, Another Saturday arrives and again, there is something I would really like to go an see on in a town 40km away, but no...I'm waiting patiently for this lot to bugger off so I can clean up and then wait for the next lot.
Just a suggestion that might suit (next year) When I started my holiday cottage, I too did not want to use my weekends doing changeovers, so I had my start day as Fridays, which in fact is better for doing weekend breaks and mid week breaks, but the main thing was it left me free on Saturdays to follow my own hobby!! In 4 years I only had one occasion when clients were unable to arrive Friday and came Saturday missing one day. I know that this was in England and weekend/ midweek breaks are more popular and this was not my bread and butter but I still wanted a life! So I would suggest changing your start date, you might find your clients might like the cheaper ferries or flights they will get !
 17.
I disagree on your opening gambit - see point 19.
Great minds think alike You posted while I was writing my post re: http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/1322534/ShowPost.aspx
 18.
I can now state that UK house-selling bureaucracy is without doubt the greater (Congratulations Chairman Brown).
I disagree because (follow the link) http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/1325951/ShowPost.aspx  numbers 4,5,11,12,18,[;-)][Www]
 19.
I must confess, we were amazed at the lack of choice regarding vegetables here. It's very limited compared to what we were used to. Not that we're vegetarians, but we still like our veg. In fact for all base foods. For a country that's supposed to be the best at cooking in the world, the amount of basic ingredients is tiny. In France, you'd get 2 metres of base ingredients in the supermarkets. In Australia, you would have two aisles! However, to compensate, the amount of pre-packed crap, I mean food is enormous here. I don't get it. While we're talking about veg, can anyone tell me why on Monday's, a cauliflower will cost nearly €4 but two days later they come down to just over a euro for the rest of the week. Can't be anything to do with oil.
I'm sorry but I don't agree with you about the lack of choice, I do my main shopping in E.Leclerc in Perigueux and they have a superb selection of veg, meat, fish and other cupboard foods. I look forward to shopping in the local markets for superb cheeses, meats, hams, sausages, fresh veg and I have a local Boulangerie that has bread and cakes to die for. So I'm not sure where you go shopping but food shopping for me in France is a delight[:D]

 23.
Husband has told me to ignore the latest letter and return his deposit, which I will do without deducting for the 4 hours of cleaning I had to do and the pool roller that he broke.
Are you sure that he isn't just making these claims as a counter claim ploy before you actually make a claim against him for the damage he did and keep some of his deposit?
 24.
Mind you I also have the advantage of knowing where Jacqui-too lives so I'll be round for a beer and a blisteringly fast session (on her ADSL that is of course!)
