1. Condor have just released a car plus 2 deal for February - £183 or if you've got kids you just have to pay the price of the fuel surcharge so car plus 2 plus 2 is £205. Looks good to me for half term. http://www.condorferries.co.uk/specialoffers/kids_go_free!_to_france/ plus has anyone travelled on their Portsmouth Cherbourg service which operates on Sundays in the summer? The price is pretty competitive, so i'm half tempted to book up early
2. just got these two deals in the post from condor:- Portsmouth to Cherbourg - sundays in August - £109 car plus 2 return - code ST/GPC Poole or Weymouth to St Malo - all summer till September - £199 car plus 2 return - code ST/CG1
3. just received the latest mailshot from Condor Ferries. They are currently offering two pretty good offers to France this summer. The portsmouth cherbourg route which they operate on Sundays throughout August is available at £109 return for a car plus 2 adults - the code though is ST/GPC. Also the Poole or Weymouth to St Malo routes are available for £199 for a car plus 2 throughout the summer - the code for this is ST/CG1. I'm using the Weymouth services, even though it takes a bit longer, you can leave early in the morning see a bit of the channel islands and then set off from St Malo at 4pm giving you a good start.

7. just received a postcard from condor ferries in the post offering me a guaranteed return price of £237 for a car & 2 adults (Inc fuel surcharges) if May and June travel is booked before 22nd May 2006. I cant use it but you just have to quote ST/JGO
8.
That's just Brittany Ferries. Don't expect them to justify it. Boulogne to Manche in 3.5 hours, you do well. Have you checked Transmanche, and LD?
condor are pretty good as well
9. Getting a free digital camera just got easier!! Its pretty simple, sign up for this site:- http://digitalcameras.freepay.com/?r=22345202 and take up one of their free trials. Myself I did the free dvd trial from screenselect. You then cancel the trial a couple of days after its expired. The ebay and sporting bet ones looks pretty good as well Get a few friends and family to do it also and your laughing
10. I assume they'll include the surcharges within the price then.... so the price will change and not the addition of extra charges.
11. this one is open for all now without the need for the product code
12. this one is open to all now without the product code
13. Just had a mail from condor offering me a different deal to the one advertised. apparently i'm one of their more frequent travellers so they've sent me another deal for the winter to St Malo. £69.50 each way to St Malo - Friday to Friday until 21 Dec - car and two. just use the product code box and enter ST/F2F. thought id pass on the offer - nice of me i know

15. definitely not the same chap, although i have now seen it on AI. i just picked the link up of a forum probably the same as he. obviously user http://digitalcameras.freepay.com/?r=22345202 has commondered us both. Well good look to them, i'm off to watch my dvd and follow his lead.
16. it does seem as though it is a case of being a good seller of the idea, although it gives me a good excuse to sign up for the dvd rental idea. which i think is a very clever product. certainly beats blockbusters product by a long way. first dvd arrived saturday, watched it and freeposted it back today, so eagerly awaiting number two now. http://digitalcameras.freepay.com/?r=22345202
17. Thought this looked quite good and the press is pretty positive, you just trial an offer (myself I chose the screen select dvd one, 1 month free and then cancel in the next month – max cost £10). Then you get your friends and family to trial it as well – might as well as it costs nothing and you get to rent dvd’s free for a month and they post them to you… Once you’ve refered enough people to it, they send you a free digital camera or ipod or what ever you want really. Click below to have a look http://digitalcameras.freepay.com/?r=22345202 Anyone else tried it, or heard of it?
18. all crossings with condor ferries have always gone via the channel islands. the afternoon sailings from poole dont require a change of vessel and they arrive into st malo at 1930. the weymouth service does require a change of vessel. drive off drive on in some cases and sometimes into st malo by lunch time. we've managed to get a half a day in one of the channel islands as well which is a boon. cheap petrol and all that. i believe an additional reason why they do this, along with the channel islands service agreements, is that they can offer real duty free still as the islands arent part of the eu ruling. in terms of delays and cancellations, or reduced power, i've only experienced this once in the time i've been a condor frequent traveller club member. the prices are the most competitive (presently me and the wife and the kids are heading over in July for £70 each with the car) on the western channel and the savings on driving time and tolls compare favourably in my opinion to that of speedferries et al on the east. i'd like to see them use their relations to try and repatriate customers should the boat get sick. i know for a fact if the weathers inclement that condor have previously called on the other western channel operators to get us home. i also saw in the paper a few weeks ago that they've got a new online booking system arriving soon, that is a problem with them at the moment. lets hope once its live they will step up to the plate and take on the BF monopoly.
19. has anyone else used these guys on the western channel? i love sailing into st.malo with them but whenever i come on this forum people are only interested in speedferries or moaning about how expensive BF are! not quite sure if its a really fair arguement or whether the members on here are actually company reps arguing between themselves. maybe thats for the admin to sort out. So i thought i'd post this good deal within the 'latest good value deals' section. I'm sure i'll get some curtis steiger activist going for the jugular though with this one though.
20. the press at the weekend also mentioned condor ferries having a new booking site from the end of this week, will be intrigued to see how they present it. as a frequent traveller i find their current booking engine not quite up to the same standard as the rest of their services. lets hope it does. the pricing is always pretty good at £159 this month for a car +2 and you get into st. malo which i love.
21. condor ferries operate from Poole and Weymouth to St Malo, the price is £159 for a car plus 2 in June, and then £218 throughout July and the remainder of the summer. not sure if thats a suitable service for all in brittany and normandy but it seems strange always moaning about BF when there is a choice. Plus i can imagine one curtis steiger from speedferries starts to evaluate the costs of fast ferry operation on the western channel we'll still see the pirates campaign remaining on the east. i'm in condors frequent traveller club and discounts do fluctuate with special offers, but i reckon they are value for money and their onboard staff are highly efficient. Any way i guess its not for me to join the moan, all i know is that i'm getting value for money
22. when you take into account the port tax others have talked about, how the heck are these guys going to survive. i cant imagine running such a costly business model with such small margins. something is sure to give, i'm intrigued by what the next press release will be. less of the flattered by competitors comments, more like flattened by the blood bath.
23. i really admire the guys at condor, whilst everyone bitches on about p&o and the flack brittany get for excessive fares, they continue to offer good fares, great services and a cracking membership club. just booked myself, the wife and two kids over for easter with their services from weymouth to st. malo, works out at £234 less my 20% discount for being a member of their frequent traveller club it becomes £187 - not forgetting the savings on driving to the other side of the country for a ferry or the time saved on the other side of the channel., plus real duty free (going via channel islands means no eu rulings). i use their services from Poole and Weymouth, into the brilliant town of st.malo - not many french ports boast an enchanting little town at the port. lets hope they continue to forge ahead on the south coast and take over the brittany ferries route from poole to cherbourg. especially as they already have their vessel operating on it, their staff manning it and sailing the vessel for brittany!!!!! brilliant stuff condor - keep it up!!!
24. its quite amazing the level of support built up for speedferries, although your already seeing others beat their only selling idea - cheap ferries. surely this will not stand the test of time. like airline before them the numbers will reduce as the costs are appreciated and with time the pricing goes up due to catering for demand closer in to the sailing. basic business. it seems the only company that i find offering sensible pricing and publishing their prices in the brochure are Condor Ferries. You just cant ask for a better service and the frequent traveller club saves me a fortune on top. dont get the earlier comment about being held to ransom by brittany ferries. if you're clever enough to find this forum you should wise up and find other websites like condorferries. constant whining... the options are out there.
25. with brittany ferries maybe, but everytime i've wanted to travel with condor ferries at the peak of summer (with a level of flexibility to dates) i've found them to be the most cost effective operator. especially when i can save time getting to my place instead of doing the whole long winded drive to other ports. £50 per person per single journey is published in their brochure now for the summer. and i reckon they'll be around this summer... i dont get all this clammer for speedferries and the dover ports when the south coast has a provider clearly stating their pricing and also offering exceptional special offers. maybe people just like to suffer it and are stuck in the pompus ways on sea travel. i'd for one certainly like to have the cash in my pocket, plus proper duty free and time on my side to spend it on the west of france instead of the motorways to dover and from calais.
