  10. Hi Thanks again everyone, yes i know all about the sh1t that producers put in their food,i trawled the country when he was a pup to make sure i had a food that was right for him(oscar is ace because it doesn't have ANIMAL DERIVITIVES in it ) i.e chicken bones, feathers, feet because until my nutritionalist told me years ago, that just because it says, for example chicken on the bag it will more than likely be bi-product not pure meat. One had to keep her pouch free from these demons as he's been to crufts twice.....just thought id get that in, hahahaha Think ill go down the burns rd and try him on that. Thanks again for all your replies Helen
  11. Thankyou for the two replies its sounds like i may find a complete food for him, and oooohhhh :::::: yes he will have the final say he's the fussyest monster you ever did meet thanks again. Helen

The food is like sacked pedigree or eukanuba(spelt wrong)does any one know of this sort of feed to recommend in France and if its easily obtainable. Thanks Helen

  15. Hi Think we are in the same position as you,our uk insurance runs out in Dec but we are only going to FRance in Jan,however we have been given help again by wonderful people on the forum,we have gone through a lady called michele(american)so she understands and all the info offer and quote is sent via e-mail in english, you can tell them when you want to begin the insurance from(when you go to France)it was very very resonable compared to uk and we have a discovery which we thought may be expensive. Do you not have a base in France to give to them as your address in France?i have sent you an idea through your personal e-mail,to try and help the insurance e-mail is [email protected] do for the attention of michele, mention it is through helen who was recommended by Jan and Dave Parrott, helen
  16. Hi can i ask which insurance company you are using for your l.rover insurance i have sent you a message to your e-mail box about help with your registration thanx helen
  17. Hi This is not as easy as one may think,to cut a long story short you need to have correct registrations(nothing like uk)i am in the horse business and you've to have registrations for everything, you have to have what i can only describe as the equivalent bhs exam system(similar) in france, to be able to take people out for hacking ect.... which bhs isnt recognised in Francs apparently its a mine field (paperwork)i have been told its the same to compete, not like uk where you can just go to a local show and have fun,you go through like competency levels.these are only helpful hints ive been told by other horsey people in France who have been there. If i can find out more i will let you know You could go private and just target english people with horses wanting your services. 18. hi i to have had a similar experience when my rotty was a pup, as some have already said he's a baby, this is also the times he's deciding in his head who is boss. training my dogs i watched and learned a great deal from the DOGS WITH DUMBAR VIDEO, he suggested when he nips you to do a very similar squeeling noise(however silly you feel)like another puppy would if they were playing and he got a little excited, the immediate shock stops them in their tracks, mine only did it a few times and he was sorted, when he lets go or stops praise him so hes being rewarded for stopping.mine eventually i just had to go aaaahh or gentle, and he'd know he had to stop.also when playing make sure you have the last say,"right game over now" and not that the game has to stop because hes got to boystrus or hurts, or thisturns into  a dominant game. i had to be persistant with mine didnt fancy, a real  fight with my rottweiler, think he may have won,he now knows who's boss and has done from being a pup and he's nine now hope this helps, remember a simple ooowww as a hurt puppy would helen

Hi i to was a little confused, bringing my dog to France permenantly,my vet said defra is the best place to seek advice. I have been on the site and it tells you the requirements needed, e.g injections ect...it seems as long as you have them micro chipped, injected against rabies annually,it doesn't mention flees and ticks 24/48 hours b4 travel as the leaflet did my vet gave me, as the lady mentioned earlier from oct, you obviously don't need. Info is on Animal health and welfare under tattooing and microchipping in France and theres some other countries. thanks Helen
