Please can somebody help.We have just moved to Confolens in the Charente, our horses are arriving on Saturday and we are having trouble finding hay and we desperately need to get hold of some. Does anybody know where we can get hay from in this area? Any information would be gladly received.

I would be if i knew for definate that i would be out in france at that time, we are moving to france at the end of this month and hopefully if our house sells in england before then then i would need a flight home at that time. can i let you know nearer the time or do you need to know quicker?

Can anybody help? I have been told that there is no fresh milk in france and that they just have the bottled strerile milk, is this true?

I am a fully trained british hairdresser (30 yrs continious experience in city based salons, specialising in colour and cutting) and wondered if there was any call for hairdressing around Confolens, i would be willing to travel to clients. I would be interested in your views. 

Does anyne know of any gites around Confolens area, needs to be available from 22nd December - 29th December, we will be visiting family. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks for info, i have heard that you need galop examinations for competing and having liveries etc. If you can find anymore information out then i would be very grateful.

What are the legal requirements to do this in France?  Are there many horsey people in and around Confolens who would be interested in this kind of thing. what about if we bought a shop unit in confolens, would this be better do you think?  we thought of starting off with a mobile one to see how it goes and if it goes well then to try and buy a shop to set a fish and chip shop up?   i know the shopin Lizant is very busy and the french do like the fish and chips! I do believe that it is for sale but it is too far away from where we have bought our property near confolens.

Does anyone know what regulations need to be fulfilled in order to operate a mobile catering business in France (van selling cooked food), or where to find details of such regulations? We are moving to Confolens (Charente) very soon and was wondering about a mobile fish and chip shop? Would be very grateful for any information.
