Got another pathetic PM of judge ALKY ie Mr korigan he is really mad and seems to think I have an untaxed car and work on the black for my beer money just because I dared to answer him back he says that I will be leaving france soon (some strange ramblings of a poor confused lad I do feel a little sorry for him)but as I find it quite funny I have no intention of reporting him to the mods because quite frankly it does not bother me at all and this time he did not use swear words so maybe little by little he is improving keep it up although another member has informed me of nasty PMs from this same guy so come on TY put that little brain into gear before sending out your poison the best thing is not to count to ten but leave it until the next day and just to get it straight my car is not taxed because it is French and I do not work on the black or the white as I am having a year off if that is alright with you TK Oh and sorry MRS Viva I did not think you were a lady will not happen again I promise

"Who is the certain member richard ? Inform and let us stick up for the under dog." Miki If you go to http://forums.livingfrance.com/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=285&MessageID=247605 You will see a perfect example of the guy (who I do not know) being hounded and this was posted after my message You will see him posting a bit of advice and then being atacked by one of "judge Alky,s" hired hands they would love to cyber lynch him and is a perfect example of the spoiling of this helpful forum Mr viva I would not expect any less from you as you are allso one of the hired hands these are strange utterings " "Then I note that you have some previous connection with the debt recovery industry, a vocation that I won't comment on! I'm sorry I just can't figure you out! is it that you are you a car clamper in St Malo now, making a fortune and don't wnat anyone to queer your pitch"? debt recovery is important and my job was looking after small traders who were ripped off by some people who allmost made a living out of fraud

www.infobel.com/world/default.asp Very handy we used to use when we had to collect bad debts

"I thought that TK was being grown up" If you think a man creeping around a car park thinking he is judge and jury committing criminal damage to other peoples property is being grown up what I can I say I of course do not agree with having no insurance I just do not like the methods judge alky proposes to stop it There is a little gang on this forum that comprises of verbal bullies and naturally stick together and why not they can all pat each other on the back and agree with each other even if its total tosh I have been watching the way they are hounding a certain member even if he posts helpful advice they jump on his post and slag him off in the most nasty way I am quite surprised that they are allowed to but I suppose this is a grown ups forum and we can all speak up for ourselves it therefore quite surprised me to recieve a nasty personal message from judge alky who it appears does like getting any negative response to his utter tosh still live and let live I have thick skin

Just look at this guys (TY) last twenty postings and see the venom that this man spits out is this really what a forum is for You are soiling a very good forum with your alcohol fuelled crap Take a chill pill man
-
Oh cry baby TY wants everyone to agree with his crap otherwise he sends baby messages I got your PM and it made me laugh You know how to give a lot of crap to a lot of people who do not fit in with your idea of TYs personal police state but sadly you wet yourself when you get just a little back grow up
-
I would have thought criminal damage is a lot more serious than a tax offence and who the hell is TY a policeman now or is he just bored because I would love to see him creeping around with his pliers and getting caught by the police or the owner but thinking again the more crap people speak the less actions they do and some of you make a good little team with him this forum should be about helping folks out. TY you are a sad little man to advocate pulling peoples valves out, I was thinking how easy it would be for them to find you through this forum because there is a good chance they are on this forum

Respect for standing your ground against all it must have took a bit of bottle

richard... Why not register and make a go of it chap eh?... Not a lot of point because unless I am mistaken you do not need a siret for working on your own house and i am that busy working on it that it may be a while before I can do anything else But good luck on your business everyone need a bit of luck as well as working hard to make a go of any business in france Why not just tell him you are watching him and you could tell the authorities if you wanted. Im sure most people would stop working on the side with that black cloud hanging over them
-
Fantastic and I am so glad that those that deserve to be stuffed (the landlord) had to pay out I hope it was a lot Im happy for you and the tenant
-
Very sorry I have always been a bad speller. but I think we know what I meant If you go over the post again you will see were I was coming from To say I condone black work because I say that it is a bit low to grass on some guy doing a little work that is not his main job in order to keep his head afloat in this impossible to work country is nothing short of fantasy May I ask if you work here in France? asks ty Only a bit of building work now and then and sometimes I do some gardening when I am bored
-
You have to agree with this man otherwise he gets childish and starts slagging you off ,its getting far too clicky for me this post .oh well said top oh to you to those that agree with him you support my little story and I will support yours and if you do not agree we will slag your business off etc well I will leave you to it I thought I was childish but you beat me fair and square No more on this subject from me and I suppose welsh Dave has worked it out as well and the sensible ones(not me obviously too daft for that) they know better than to get involved, when will I ever learn?
-
Might it be worth advertising it on ebay on a normal price buy it now sceme but realy use it for a free advert you may get some bookings without even going through the ebay auction part by send seller a question
-
No matter how many people shout about it I still do not agree with grassing on Brits or french people but I think there must be a lot of different type of people who use these forums and everyones got a different idea on things so everyone to there own
-
Grassing on a fellow brit who himself could be struggling is a bit low in fact its very low and anyone doing it should be despised by all but maybe you went to a different school than me "teameup" everyone to ther own thoughts on this I suppose
-
It was a good idea but in your haste you missed the real bargain on the same website a little better on the price too at only 100,000 dollars http://www.shiplink.info/contents1.asp?refno=9920 Sea Devil, a Interceptor Type / Fast Response Craft, suitable as a long range infiltration craft especially for special mission operation, or as a Interceptor cum Patrol Boat. Together with its Whispering Engines, Sea Devil can creep at speed right up to suspected vessels for inspection with out being detected lets see if the farmers stop us loading with there tractors when they start wiffeling about the cost of hay etc

Thanks again what a very useful and friendly forum this is and i like the reference to some sort of regs "40cms minimum above the highest point of the roof for the height of the chimney(source dicobat page763)" that is perfect could I ask does this dicobat cover other types of building regs as the next task is to connect to the main sewer I have dug the channel through all sorts or rock a bit at a time but wanted to know if there are any regs about depth of the pipe and whether it needs anything other before it goes into the main sewer as i can not afford to pay to have it connected and have seen at least three other people in the town doing it themselves but always the final bit Can we buy these regs because there is nothing better than building to regs thanks again ==-richard

greenfly and other small nastys are killed by using a SMALL amout of washing up liquid mixed with water and sprayed onto infected plants it messes with there breathing and kills them but does not harm ladybirds etc Or so it says on the American plant forum that I read I mixed up several recipes together including the washing up liquid a small amount of veg oil that crushed and boiled garlic cloves had been soaked in overnight and can confirm that it wiped out all my nastys this year except for colarado beetles which I hand picked off I believe that this recipe is counted on as being organic

Telephone help!?
richard.w replied to Lilacgrasshopper's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
Our fax does not work either and we got a adaptor when inspecting it . It seems to have have extra wires The French line into our house whilst the core has extra wires the mains that connects to it only has two wires to operate the phone and works well on our normal phone I just bought a cheap extension for 1.50 euros from bricomarche and took the connector off it is more dumpy than the english one and messed with the wires untill I got the regular phone to work and then copied the wires for the computer and that works but the complicated philips fax has all sorts of diodes resistors or what ever they are called in the connector so I did not bother messing with it but got a proper adaptor from a friend but it did not work I believe that there are different connections you can recieve from the telephone people which will make the fax type phones work -
Thanks a lot Nick that is very helpful I am going on the roof again tomorow if the weather is all right I have never been up as high as that roof and the double wooden ladders which are a lot longer and more solid than my aluminuim ones just reached it but my knees wobbled when I got near the top and I could not do it however when I went in the attic there was a skylight and once up there I loved it it was warmer and I could have fallen asleep on the ridge tiles I found when I was up at least ten canal tiles in different places that had slipped down but the roof has never leaked even in storms I was amazed by the simplicity of the roof desighns there is chestnut lathes on rough oak beams and tiles with no nails, no lining and as it works I do not intend to change it at all I am hoping to take enough tiles off so I can stand in the atic to build the chiminey, have you any advice for building such a chiminey I have noticed some chimineys have steel reinforcing tyes through them is this an option you would recomend Thanks again===richard

Where did you move to in SW France

Hello we have bought a hose in the Charante and on the edge of our town house there is a lovely two story garage with a small courtyard it belongs to a lady who lives opposite and is separate from her house When we bought our house we were told that she could not put windows facing on to our land which covers the house on all sides but the front of the garage I have always admired it and have told the lady so Well talking to her the other day and she has hinted she might sell me it If we bought it I wondered if It might be possible to convert it to a house and put windows facing down the garden away from our house and later on give a section of the garden that the window that they would overlook to this house and maybe sell it in a few years My question is would you get planning permission to put windows in overlooking your own land and then could you split it form your property at a later date thanks Richard

Hello we have found that the chimney on our house blew down in the last tempest a few years ago (before we bought the house) and the hole in the roof was rebuilt over with tiles I have been on the roof today and moved the tiles aside to look in the hole and it is quite clean the opening is rectangular We have another chimney on the roof that is not connected to a fireplace but is on the wrong side of the house and was used before the house had a bathroom this chimney is quite high and is very thin on the side it is one brick wide whilst the front is two brick across now I want to rebuild my missing chimney as winter cometh I have never worked on chimney and have a few questions for any friendly knowledgable people out there first is what is the regulations on the hight as they seem quite a bit higher than the apex of the roof second does the top of chimney need to be built out of fire bricks it is on the roof of a two story whilst the fire is on the ground floor Third does the chimney have to be lined with somesort of fire cement as the layers are built forth is it legal to stick a metal pipe on the top instead of bricks as I have quite a bit or fire pipe I bought from Emaus for a different project I doubt this one but it would be the easiest Thanks a lot everyone== richard
