Ferel cat found

thats the first thing she did no mirochip, the two front paws are  drying up but still very swollen its the back that very sticky  but I'm putting the spray on and sudocrem on the outskirts of the paws as a barrier as everytime he goes in his litter/ paper his paws get wet and it makes them sore again, I think it may take a while to sort and may end up expensive but a little lifes a life and its up to me to help him!
3. Hello there, 2 days ago when driving to my friends house I spotted a cat at the side of the road on the grass verge he saw looking around but sitting down so I went to my friends and then on the way back he was still there, Id asked my friend for some biccys to give him so I went up to him, and carefully gave him the biccys and God.... what a mess! He was soaking wet freezing, and covered in clarts (or cow sh..) his belly was bald and his poor little paws were soaking wet and the pads swollen like big red balls red raw and bleeding, I picked him up he was skin and bone, and put him in the car, ( thinking God am I in trouble with hubby) but what could I do he would have died of the cold as he could obviously not walk, So I took him straight to the vets, the receptionist was quite abrupt with me as I didnt have an appointment but the vet said come straight through, she took one look at him and said god!! she looked at me and asked if he should be put to sleep as he was ferel and no-one would look after him, I immediately said no I'll look after him, He was given antibiotics and spray for his feet she said he was emaciated but his eyes mouth ears heart etc was strong,it cost 80 euros (well spent) so the past 2 days have been spent bathing cleaning and feeding this poor little mite, I have kept him away from the other cats until I get injections etc but what alovely little thing he is hes eating like a horse and loving the attention, the only worry is the feet, I had to remove the litter from his tray and use paper as the stones are sticking to his pads, he is hobbling to and from the litter tray one paw is fine and the front ones starting to dry up but still very swollen, he hates the spray and it stinks, Does anyone know or have had a cat that has experienced this, I will keep him, and he will be a house cat until his paws mend this could take months but I don't care he is so loving and I feel so sorry for him! his back paw is really bad sort of big marble sized and raw do you think I should dress it or leave it to dry up any advice would be greatly appreciated

6. There are 7 of us in our family and we spend approx 350/400 a week on food but thats counting the animals in (approx 30€ a week)  our fuel bills are also high 200 per month electric and 100 per month water, thats just family, b and b are calculated extra, the rest of the bills are about the same as above
7. could you please let me have the info aswell, as I thought when approached the profit margin you would make would be not worth the work thanks
8. I never hang towels out just do them in the tumbler and they are always lovely and soft, same as I never tumble sheets, quilt covers etc as they crease too much
9. think yourself lucky try running a band b changeover days every day! nightmare !!!!!
10. we accept all animals and often get guests with cats or dogs
11. I will not condem you for having between 20 and 30 we have 21 ourselves spread between three properties on our 2 acre land and I can asure you they are very much loved, spayed  (and passported and chipped)and looked after in the proper manner, its all down to good management and housekeeping, you must get the cats spayed, ask your local vet if you can get them done and pay monthly, we have an account at the vets and pay a standing order each month of 150€  and whether we are in credit or debit we can be assured that the animals will be treat when needed, they will only wander if not spayed females wander looking for a male and visa versa, if you cannot cope with that many get onto the amis de chat charity and they will rehome to a good home for you (they do not euthanase any) if you cannot get the cats done so they don't reproduce put the females on the pill  1tablet every 15 days (8€ for the chemists for apack of 20)  untill you can gradually find homes or get them done Please everyone do not critisise just offer helpfull advise!
12. we have a flat press iron which is quick and easy especially when my sister does it (for nothing)!!!!
13. hi there, sorry to hear you have breast cancer, however I think the treatment here is first class, we are currently going down this road with my mother, I go with her when she has appointments at the hospitals in the ambulance, my mother has never had the chemo treatment she had a lumpectomy and glands removed and a intensive bout of radiotherapy over a 6 week period every day ( this was very tiring for her she is 70) however she has come out of it and has just check ups every three months and is on tablets for five years, have you been told you will be getting chemo because they do try to avoid giving you it  it does depend on how advanced the cancer is ( what stage) I wish you all the best but keep optimistic and  get plenty of rest and good food
14.

a distressing sight…
And how would you feel about a pretty baby lamb with its eyes and tongue pecked out?  And which would you prefer to figure most prominently on your table  -  chicken, lamb or crow?
I dont care what you think I would  be distressed at seeing any of those things but cruelty is cruelty in any form and people should know better than animals!
15. We have just seen a distressing sight, the hen hut next to our garden is owned by a french farmer who comes once a day to feed his hens, we were sitting in the garden and heard banging coming from the tin hut in his garden where he keeps them so we investigated to our horror we saw a large rook or crow (beautiful bird) hanging upside down by its foot which was severed off and tied with wire and it was flapping about in distress obviously terrified it had been tied there to be left to die slowly in agony, how cruel is that !! I am shocked and dismayed by this, are they classed as pest here or why was it hung it was obviously fit, it had been fighting so much its foot had come off, we cut the wire and it hopped to the gate and sat for a minute or so and then flew off in a strong and magnificent way, I could not knowingly let the creature hang there to die, What I want to know is, is this cruel act common? why let it suffer a slow death. I know in my heart I've done the right thing, but why do people do this thing in the first place!!!!
16. I use these types for bookings, they may have not updated there availability , if you get a booking from somewhere else ie your own website or by phone , you are meant to go and update or delete that room, or like the last poster said if it was more than one room you allocate rooms to the booking companies,
17. I got that as well, R***-***  and I went to the Airline website and couldn't see a link to it , maybe dodgy but I wouldn't have gone for it anyway asking 100 pounds a year fee!
18. have you managed to sort this situation out, as you have not answered you may think we are trying to judge you, but thats not the case just wanting to know further facts so we can help you, there are alot of cat lovers here that would hate to see your animals get destroyed, so dont be shy just lets us know the situation

20. why have you been visited by the police and mairie? are you not looking after them or have you been reported? how many do you have? why should they be involved? not judging it just seems a  odd situation to be in,  where are you? have you tried to rehome with the chats du armis charity  they may be able to help further details will be helpful

25. Sara dont be put off  trying to fulfill your dream, life can be hard here when finances are tight, you have three kids so you will recieve a good amount of allowence famille or if hubbys still working in the uk you will still get your family allowence but as say you will be a resident here you may get the UK one stopped, you will recieve more here and get help with school books and holidays, my mam lives with us and loves it here and she recieves her pension we wouldn't have it any other way, life is better for the kids my kids love it, just make them concentrate hard on french lessons before you leave,  Food I think( just being a mother and shopper for lots of people) is about the same as the UK but learn to look for the bargains buy in bulk when the offers are on (Foire de porc or beef) fill your freezer up, don't be a snob,  shop at aldi and Lidl buy from the markets the seasonal veg, and enjoy your kids taking them on picnics and walks with sarneys ( they love it better than resturants) and Nana loves coming too with her bottle or gin or wine!!!, Pay for fuel and bills monthly get wood in the summer cos its cheaper, go to the large cities for major shops especally when the sales are on! use UK e Bay for kids clothes, mine are kitted out in designer  but 99p auctions look in the leaflets and always buy when on offer, you 'll be fine, but if you don't try you'll never know, I'm not saying I don't miss the good old north-east and the pound shops and greggs pasties though, but you will learn to live without, and its all for my kids!!!
